Recently I noticed that A Fight to the Death (KH 2.5, Xemnas' boss fight) and Gummiship Battle (KH 3) have the same notes and chords, at least in terms of structure of the ost.
Now I can't stop imagining a lot of chibi Xemnas that shoot lasers at you while you're in the Gummiship

Video game characters in-universe whenever you forget to save the game at an important moment:
I know, I know, people think Kingdom Hearts is all big and complex and I’m just.
The only reason people are confused about the plot is because the names are fucking ridiculous.
Like seriously Ansem and Xemnas? If you know context you can recognize that they’re the same name just an anagram+X, it’s literally spelled out in the game, but they seem so difficult. But like. the story is basically:
‘Possessed Bob desires the authority of the king, Dave, so he does his experiments while pretending to be him. But when it backfires, Fake Dave is split in two, Evil Fake Dave and Evil Fake Dave but with an X.’
It’s MARGINALLY more complex than that, but. You want to know the complex thing? Okay.
‘Evil Man X fights against heroes Alice, Bob and Chad. They defeat Evil Man X, but he possesses Bob.’ This is the prequel.
Game 1: ‘Eric, Fran and Greg wish to leave their island home. Evil Fake Dave lures Greg off into the darkness and destroys the Island, Eric has to try and rescue him and find Fran. Disney characters are involved, as is Final Fantasy. Evil Fake Dave tries for ultimate power, is destroyed because ultimate power is Good, not Evil.’
Game 2: ‘Start game as EricX. live for a bit, fuse with regular Eric for Reasons. Find out about Group X, people who are what’s left over after Bad Thing happens to people. They fight against normal Bad Monsers with the help of Other Monsters, and put X’s in their names. Greg returns, helps, everyone figures out leader of Group X is Evil Fake Dave X. He gets closer to ultimate power, everyone beats him up.’
Side stories: ‘What happened between game 1 and 2 when Eric was looking for Greg? Oh, um, Eric got mind wiped, had to get his memories back. Greg came to rescue him.’
Side Story 2: ‘What about EricX and his friends? Who were they? Also: Fake Fran. Mainly this is made because people love villain LeaX’
Side Story 3: ‘How do we connect the prequil to the main game? Um. Virtual reality! And hidden messages!’
Side Story 4: ‘Eric and Greg go to prove they are Master Warriors, Young Evil Man X returns to complicate things, Greg passes the test, Eric has to redo it.’
