"Tahrir al-Wasilah (Arabic تحريرالوسيلة; Exegesis of the Means of Salvation or Commentaries on the Liberation of the Intercession) is a book that was written by Ayatollah Khomeini as a commentary on a traditional theological text, and as a guide for Shia Muslims.
The book was part of the centuries-old tradition of commentaries on Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) commonly written by leading Shia clerics working toward the status of Marja, for the use of their students and fellow clerics. The "Means" or "Intercession" this book was commenting on was Wasileh un-Nejat, (The Means of Salvation), by S. Abul-Hasan Isfahani.[1] Khomeini's commentary covered socio-political issues such as jihad and `ordering the good and forbidding the evil`, that had been abandoned by his contemporaries."
Worth understanding in greater detail to appreciate its impact on Islamic jurisprudence and society in Iran, given that this is where Ayatollah Khomeini wrote specifically about the permissibility of sex change under Islamic law.

Egyptian insight into Iran
Speaking of documentaries, this is a very good 3-parts documentary abt Iran since the 1979 revolution by BBC.
Since there's no typical western crap abt Iran in this documentary, I assume it was really unbiased and truthful.
Being an Egyptian who lately witnessed a revolution that makes me so proud and hopeful -regardless of all the shit-, I gotta say that watching the Iranian revolution that took place in 1979 ages be4 the Arab spring moved me 2 bits and made me respect the Iranians even more, I was really impressed by the strength and sacrifice of the Iranians, and I love how Iran turned out from a follower of US to an enemy which is dope :D
I say this alot, and I'll keep saying it, I wish Egypt would alley with Iran one day instead of fuckin' US, and I appreciate the trials -Morsi visiting Tehran and Nejad visiting Cairo- but it's still not good enough w/ every1's trying so hard 2 be cautious 4 various reasons -Egypt being a Sunni country and friends w/ KSA trying not 2 piss it off by improving it's relations w/ Iran-, which is irrelevant!
Egyptians r pretty cautious towards Iran, all Egyptians, we'r stuck between Islamists who hate Iran 4 being a Shiaa country -fuck them- and secularists who hate Iran 4 being a strictly Islamic "oppressing" country -fuck them 2-, I mean we'r friends w/ a fascist country like the US, why the fuck is allying w/ Iran so bad?!, being Shia' is not a crime -damn wahabis- and being oppressive is debatable - 2 an extent-.. anywayz, 'm sick of such mentalities, and I was extremely irritated by the usual Sunni references around Iranians -like Morsi's mention of Sayedna Abu-Bakr and Umar Ibn-ElKahttab in Iran, and like Azhar's grand Sheikh warned Iranians of preaching Shia'a Islam in Sunni countries!!!!- .. so childish and sick, and I'd love 2 see how our officials would really man up infront of US and say -in English- how US is a fascist imperialist country...
More reasons 2 hate on Anwar ElSadat and his sick way of thinking that kept growing & spreading till our day, he made ppl hate on Palestinians 2 pass on his flawed disgraceful peace treaty w/ Israel, and he made ppl hate on Iran after revolution and promote shit as a good US bitch!
That being said, is it true that Iran has a street called after Sadat's killer "Khaled ElSilamboli"?? most Egyptians hold a grudge against Iranians 4 this, but I pretty love it :D.. I wanna visit this street one day :D
In a nutshell, I respect the Iranian revolution, love wat Iran stands 4 now -although there's so much shit Iran does anyway, but politics is dirty-, I can disagree/dislike alot of things abt Iran regarding freedom and all, but I can't judge right since I know so little abt the country, not 2 mention that when it comes to politics, these stuff r irrelevant, we'r friends w/ KSA which is one of the most oppressing countries worldwide.
Post revolution Egypt deserves a shot w/ Iran, coz we ain't gonna go anywhere as long as we'r America's fuckin' slaves, we'r occupied and we need 2 snap out of it.
IN THIS VIDEO A SHIA NARRATES A STORY ON HIS TRAVEL WITH AYATOILET KHOMINI WHERE THEY WERE GUEST AT ANOTHER SHIAS HOUSE AND HOW AYATOILET KHOMINI RAPED THE DAUGHTER OF THE GUEST WHO GLADLY ALLOWED KHOMINI TO USE HIS FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. WE KNOW SHIAS WILL PRACTISE TAQIYYA, THEY WILL DENY SUCH A NARRATION AND TRY TO TURN THE TABLES AND SAY OUR IMAMS ARE THE RAPISTS LOL I QUOTE FROM AYATOILETS BOOK, “It is not illegal for an adult male to 'TAFKID/thigh' or enjoy a young girl who is still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his penis between her thighs, and to kiss her.” Ayatu Allah Al Khumaini's "Tahrir Al wasila" p. 241, issue number 12."
