( I get the feeling maybe jensen ackeles could be a classic hmmm cause I really don'tlike him in a beard he looks so much better clean shaved like cillian murphy?)( also tom welling looked HOT with the backward cap and natural styling in that award show people still talk about that fit to this day !) jensen ackles: pure natural

not a classic body type even though clean-shaven is best, because he bulks out any tuxedo suit and symmetry is boring on him; natural types thrive on the undone unconstructed look with heavy fabrics, his signature look. tousled highlighted hair is great on him. owns any jeans jacket, but doesn't benefit from sharp corners or elongation, hence not FN (jared padalecki is 100% big three coded instead, very vertical sharp yang type). SN could be possible if he had more yin/waist emphasis, not sure. he doesn't have romantic facial features so i stick with him being a sexy ass pure natural for now.

tom welling: flamboyant natural

an almost soft dramatic, but his face is more width-heavy and he looks amazing in the most casual of jeans and shirt. angular suits don't adapt to his shape, he is yang bevelled > yang sharp. too vertical to be a soft subtype. i see a dramatic modellesque undercurrent in his facial structure especially, the jaw, the nose bridge, the low brows, so not pure or soft natural, but still width first > narrowness, especially as he got older. too tall for R, G, C at 6'3. very yin lips, but many flamboyant naturals can have them (huening kai, namjoon...) and it further hints at their blunt roundness, but it's mixed with sharp corners. love this guy's look, he's a beauty. most superman actors are FN types.

Typing XG

XG members: Harvey, Hinata, Juria, Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, Maya

Jurin was the hardest to type, but I think she's clearly a yang type. She expresses vertical basically, with a long uninterrupted silhouette. There's something modelesque about her. She reminds me a bit of Yves (5'5 Dramatic) I think she's D, if not that, then FN.

Chisa is the definition of a gamine, I mean she looks just like Betty Boop in the bttm left picture haha. The short hair really elevates her look too. I think SG over FG, I see more yin/lightness/not too prominent bone structure.

Hinata is also definitely gamine. I think FG fits her best because she has the squared body type, and only gains weight below the waist which is common in yang types. Her body type (specifically in bttm right pic) reminds me a lot of Jennie, also FG.

Harvey definitely gives me Soft Natural. Not much to say, she embodies SN. FN is probably possible, but I think she's 'soft' over vertical.

I think Juria is a pure Romantic. She has the feeling of softness and lightness: sloped shoulders, soft waist line, her facial features remind me of other Rs/Trs I have typed. Even her styling is a lot softer than the other members, a yin-friendly kind of experimentation.

If Maya isn't Soft Natural I would... probably delete this blog. She really fits the bombshell/y2k inspired style of SN.

I think Cocona is a TR, natural delicacy/softness especially in their facial features, but can take from gamine recs in a way that complements their balance or even disrupts it.

XG is definitely more of a yin group, with 1 R, 1 TR, 1 SG, 1 FG, 2 SN, 1 D.

hii can i get a kibbe analysis for yushi from nct wish?? i feel like his physique is very underrated but i think it makes his dance lines so much more aesthetically pleasing. i love your analysis so much btw <333

thank you, kibbe typing is just a whole new universe. i'm always glad i found and learned it. ☺️

now, yushi is still too young to type 100%. a type only shows in the early mid 20s, but! he is already quite angular imo. not blunt, i'm ruling out the naturals. soft yang clothing doesn't adapt to his frame (not narrowly tailored enough; angular types don't go with plush fabric that lacks construction).

so i assume he will go into the soft dramatic direction. not a final verdict. but that type often has a T-shape to them. his bone structure is narrow elongated sharp yang but he might have a soft undercurrent. the only thing that's missing is vertical, he's moderate at 5'9. but i still stick with SD over FG. the gamine aesthetic on him is often too much, pale, and childlike rather than fitted: see how the sleeves drop off and mismatch his sharp long arms?

being SD rather allows him to do sexy/glam concepts convincingly. SD men cannot be overstyled, as long as the accessories and fabrics are bold enough. low contrast hair not suiting him while dark hair absolutely slays is also an indicator that he is in the dramatic family and also not classic.

his face is ambiguous, not extreme and intimidatingly chiseled like a dramatic. so that's where i see a bit of the romantic type. he does reflective and ornate fabrics very well... soft dramatic can always do both. harsh angles and sheen. this is how i would style him for the most part - japanese menswear easily lends itself to SD body types because it's structured and belted - high contrast and a bit of glitz:

Ive been trying to kibbe type some friends and would like some advice! Shes 5'3, so pretty short, but her most noticeable feature in our photos is how broad she is compared to everyone else. We're all asian though, so tend to be a little short and narrow anyways.. I asked once and she said her shoulders are about 50cm? Shes also noticeably curvier in the torso, with huge round eyes and a button nose, and pretty muscular legs (ballerina). My first instinct was sd, but shes a little too short, and then too wide for r. Please help when you can! Thanks!!

soft natural clear as day! a very common type, and the most petite of the yang dominant IDs. it's the mix of width/muscular definition with extra yin that gives it away.

try typing by exclusion principle/what someone is not:

she's too petite for the big three (SD/D/FN) which all start at around 5'7 or so. i'm a dramatic ID, full-on 5'9, very elongated bone structure. a 5'3 person is the opposite of such a vertical frame, in pictures perhaps, but IRL they cannot seem elongated.

she's not narrow, so gamines are off the table, unless FG is concerned as the only other possible type i could see for her... but even then, too much extreme yin. FG is a short dramatic with only a little bit of natural undercurrent in the mix.

too much width and toned limbs for the classic and romantic types, who are balanced and delicate with any broader features typically not standing out too much.

any yang subtype doesn't work here, as almost all yin subtypes are noticeably curvy/busty and have to accommodate curve, and the facial features are romantic, which seems to be the case for her. soft natural: athletic bone structure, romantic features in the flesh, yin height is also possible.

TL;DR - SN is the best pick, FG if i'm completely off, Pure Romantic if she really works out hard and it changed her type. other types can be ruled out entirely. try testing for low contrast athleisure wear and draped clothing with waist emphasis, soft jeans fabrics and heavy glitter knits. loose waves for hair, chunky glitz for jewelry, and minimal earth tone makeup with some sparkle and glossy shine. if that all works, SN can be confirmed for her.

Haseul : Romantic

I have previously considered TR and SG for Haseul, but neither felt perfect. She’s overall very yin; you can see in her facial features. Which is why I believe she’s pure R! She gives such a dreamy, pretty Romantic vibe more so than a TR/Gamine vibe.

Jinsoul : Soft Dramatic

Something about Jinsoul is just... vibrant and noticeable, very SD energy. She always looks good with detailed, elevated looks. No width really, so not a curvy FN, and you can see in the top right pic how elongation manifests in someone who isn't super tall--perfectly illustrating her combination of vertical (D) + rounded undercurrent.

Kim Lip : Flamboyant Gamine

I think Kim Lip has pretty obvious contrast. She obviously looks petite and has the common FG body type which is mostly only gaining weight below the hip line. She does structure well.

HeeJin : Flamboyant Gamine

I think HeeJin perfectly illustrates how you can have squared shoulders without being N family. Her body is overall petite, with the slightly boxy shape that's common in FGs; as opposed to SN who has width in the upper body, she only has broad shoulders but her ribcage/stomach/hip area seems straight and not projected. A combination of yang straightness and petite.

Choerry : Soft Natural

Choerry epitomizes the carefree look and vibe of an SN. She has a lot of varied looks--she's a moderate-looking SN who can wear a lot of things as long as her openness is honored (outfits that aren't constricted/have some structure). She looks great in wavy hair. You can see her N-family width in the top left photo in the upper chest area.

HyunJin : Soft Natural

HyunJin is another example of an SN who looks rather yin/'soft' at first glance but shows the variance in this type. She sort of reminds me of Yeri, an Ingenue-essence SN who might be mistyped as SG or R family, but I think she has width. She can handle slightly heavier/bunchier fabrics and looks good with an open neck. She lacks the double curve of R family (bottom right , straight-ish waist).

ViVi : Flamboyant Gamine/Gamine

Everything about ViVi, head to toe, is Gamine family! She perfectly embodies G-fam, face and body, and I honestly think that if the old system was still in use she would be a pure Gamine. I would put her in FG only because she has the weight gain pattern of FG, where only the lower body gains weight. This is common in yang types.

YeoJin : Soft Gamine

YeoJin has a rather unmistakable Gamine energy to me, especially in her face. She has the doll-like, otherworldly, timeless feel--the spitfire chic essence--and although I think she's clearly yin dominant, she can handle ensembles that are a bit more structured and/or chaotic.

Go Won : Soft Gamine

Go Won is another obvious SG. She has clear yin and compactness, with the slightly square-shaped body type that's common in Gamines. She embodies a lot of different parts of SG.

HyeJu : Soft Natural

I think HyeJu has come into her own as a great example of an SN. Her personal aesthetic gives very cool girl, down to earth SN--she looks great with slightly oversize materials (slightly: SN can be overwhelmed if it's too much) and with windswept hair and natural makeup.

Yves : Dramatic

Yves is 5'5 but she has clear elongation. Top right photo shows how pure elongation (D) manifests from the chest to the knees--lots of straight interrupted lines. I also think she lacks width. Sometimes I would say that the line for D/FN is blurry so it can be a matter of essence, but I think Yves is the opposite. Even though she tends towards a more cool, breezy FN aesthetic, I think the D-ness in her is so obvious that I stand by it 100%.

Chuu : Soft Natural

I can see how Chuu might be typed as SG, but I personally see her as a clear SN. Her body type has always given more athletic + a bit of curves (SN) as opposed to petite. I think her having a baby face can trip people up, but I think she dresses well for SN and in particular, looks great with fluffy hair and comfy outfits with draped fabric.

Overall, LOONA is a yin dominated group, with 1 pure-R, 3 SG, 4 SN, 1 SD, 3 FG, and 1 D.

( and man does he look good in patterns/ugly Christmas grandma sweaters ) it's Jonny weldon (he reminds me a bit of Daniel Radcliffe) , he's 32 years old and 163 cm tall! ( if that's not a SG I don't know what is . He even played peter pan ! Also I think Ambika Mod who played friends/couple with leo woodall in "one day" might be a pure romantic ? Or TR don't know.

jonny weldon: very very gamine, however i don't see yin in his face a lot, soft gamines have very soft and round appearances, like yoongi's cheeks. jonny doesn't need waist emphasis either. i think flamboyant gamine fits. FGs have a bit of natural as an undercurrent, which explains his wider shoulders. oh and yes i love my gamines hhhh almost all of my biases are gamine types

ambika mod: 5'5, my immediate thought was theatrical romantic as per the face. soft natural as the only other option. her wardrobe is basically all types except dramatic. ambika's shoulders suggest R over classic and gamine in any case, i don't know how reddit thinks she is DC or FG, those types have super angled bones. and the fact that she is paired with a natural type is pretty much the hint, our "natural + romantic couples in fiction" theory has been consistent.

Hi caro , would you say shawn mendes is a soft dramatic or a Flamboyant natural ? Personally I'd go with FN , his chin is very squarish rather than pointy/sharp , and his overall frame feels like it's squeezed in that black tuxedo. Have a nice day ✨️

i prefer soft dramatic on him - natural cuts are too oversized, and shawn needs waist emphasis. wearing FN looks unlike himself; not in proportion. the mix and match colors don't elevate the style, nor does the beard. it all doesn't become 'shapely' on him as it does not repeat /his/ shape:

the met gala outfit shows he benefits from tailoring and immovable sharp yang fabric. it leans into pure dramatic so it's a bit like a cosplay, but the idea goes in a right and interesting direction. look how narrow his legs are. that's not blunt yang.

on any flamboyant natural man, the previous type of bomber jacket is going to sit right. their rib, arm, and shoulder width will fill it out. it won't look like a fabric balloon. it's close to their athletic shape:

the black outfit that squeezes shawn's frame would be pure dramatic, dramatic classic-ish. too small. he needs sleek narrow lines but with bolder yin drapes. the marbled pattern is great in your first pic. silk is amazing for SD men, too.

anything that drapes but has a rectangular shape just plays around an SD man's silhouette so effortlessly. there's a reason why his public image is androgynous: SD combines yin and yang.

hence the big glossy curls are his signature. very few men can do such elaborate hair. notice how clean the waves are set with hairspray. FN hair doesn't need sleekness. SD hair is every curl in place.
