Just a silly lil thing I whipped up in Gamemaker and it took much longer to make than I wanted, but fine! (Entirely because I drew 10 new talk sprites for this) I love the "god fucking damn it Kris where the FUCK are we!?" meme.

Genuinely, though. When I think about it, Deltarune is the main reason I'm working on my own videogame today. I could go on and on about how that is, but for now I'll simply list 3 major things:

Kibitzer's name, chosen to match the game theme of Card Kingdom.

The prototype concept for my game, which has since been altered quite a bit, but there are remnants left.

Both times I ever tried (2nd time committed) to make my own videogame, I did it because Toby Fox makes games that seem actually doable even to someone as clueless about code as me. I can make pixel move! So I did.

Now I'm developing a pixel adventure featuring Kibitzer, a silly green person who lives in a hole in a purple forest and goes on a journey to rid themself of a curse that plagues them with memories of their own death. Guiding them is a manipulative asshole named Quincell, whose head is a TV, because fuck yeah I made my "Mike" fan design into an original character. What else was I gonna do with it??

Here's to chapters 3 and 4 of Deltarune, in which I will finally discover who Toby Fox's TV head is and no doubt be plunged into an intense hyperfixation that will halt progress on my own game for months! xP

And here's to Kibitzer, whose story I can't WAIT to tell. 💚
