Some alternate outfits for my main girls from my story, Misfits.
From left to right, Isbeil, Eska and Oria.
I really dig how Monty Oum created each member of Team RWBY to fill a certain player type and I kind of wanted to do the same for my characters. Isbeil would be an archer obviously (with a bit of magic), Eska would be a gunner/kickboxer/swordsman and Oria would be a Mage type. I may change this down the line but it helped to pin down their abilities when it comes to writing the way they move the plot forward.
I was going for a Gibson girl look with Isbeil’s hair again. I think I’ll keep it for when she’s wearing formal attire but from now on when I’m drawing her in her field outfit I think I’ll just keep it in a low ponytail. I’m thinking of making her hair black too.
Her outfit and character are inspired by Asami Sato and Legolas! I might change the colour palette for her outfit later. I’m not really digging the colour of the pants.
Oria’s outfit is one she only wears for a short while in the story. I still picture her travelling around in her school uniform the way Kagome does in Inuyasha and Hitomi in The Vision of Escaflowne. Those two were big inspirations for developing her character!
