11-Year-Old Boy Lands Book Deal About Crocheting After His Creations Go Viral

11-year-old crochet prodigy Jonah Larson, who taught himself the craft via YouTube at age five, has landed a book deal for his debut release, Hello, Crochet Friends! Wisconsin-based KWiL Publishing will release the book in July, after an article in the La Crosse Tribune about Larson went viral.

Oh my god, guys, I just died.

So my dad’s a special ed teacher at an elementary school, and in one of the teachers’ classrooms the kids write like all the time. And they call the kids little authors!!! And when it’s writing time they say “okay little authors, it’s time to publish another story”!!! Isn’t that the cutest fucking thing ever?? I wanna go in and talk to the little authors!!!

And and and! Dad’s been telling them all about me and writing and how Perfect World got published as print and ebook over the weekend of course, they wanna know all the answers ever. So!! One of the kids comes up to Dad today and goes “My big brother’s birthday is June 30th, do you think Jessica’s book is okay for seventh graders?”

That’s the cutest thing!! Everything about this is cute!! Dad asked me and I told him yes, there might be a few words the big brother has to look up but otherwise it’ll be fine. But I wanna go in and talk to the little authors, that’d be the best!! I love everything.
