thinking about a situation where the Gladers crash land on an Island whilst scouting the area due to rumours about more WICKED projects. As they’re crashing, Minho, Newt, Brenda, Frypan, and Jorge all eject themselves out of the plane, except for Thomas, whose ejection button didn’t work (or smth idk)

so Thomas ends up crash landed on the island alone, no clue where he is. He grabs the flares and a gun and makes his way through the dense jungle to try and find his friends, then signal a way out. As he does, he finds prehistoric creatures lurking at every corner (and gets mercilessly clawed up by a utahraptor for those who enjoy Thomas whump!!) , eventually shooting it. But he doesn’t know that there’s more than one.

As the days pass and he continues to try and find his friends, he spots the remnants of cloth from their parachutes. The sun is beginning to set but he doesn’t care, he goes further into the dense foliage to try and scout the area. And that’s when he hears a very raspy, airy version of Newts voice saying ‘Tommy’. Thomas is so happy for a second before he realises that it’s not saying anything directly to him (e.g: ‘we need to find Thomas’ and ‘where are we?’). Then he spots something through the dark haze.

Newt was never there. The raptors were mimicking him.
