Hello MARCH!!

Happy March 1st everybody!!

March is a great month! Spring starts in March. More squirrels and birds are out for me to chase!!

There’s something called March Madness that humans get excited about

There’s the promise of 🌸cherry blossoms 🌸 and hanami which are fun flower viewing picnic parties with friends and lots of food! 🍱🥖🧀🍅🍒🍎🍓🍘🍙🍥🍤🍡🍢🥧🍰🍭🍩🍪🍻

But did you know March is also National Kidney Month?! I learned that because I’m boning up on my kidney knowledge for my papa!

My papa is just one of an estimated 26 million Americans to have kidney disease so this month isn’t just about him. Everyone should get tested and make sure you protect your kidneys!

How?

- Get tested ( go to kidney.org to find a free screening center near you)

- Reduce use of NSAIDS medicine

- Reduce processes foods

- Exercise ( easy! Just take your pup for lots of walks)

Hello! My papa needs a kidney.

Hello friends!

My name is Snowy and I am a senior rescue from the Metropolitan Maltese Rescue organization.

My papa, Chris, has PKD ( polycystic kidney disease) and now I’m trying to rescue him by helping him find a living kidney donor.

My handsome papa lives in New York City and if he goes on dialysis to wait for a kidney it could be many years before he gets one if he ever does.

I want my papa to live a long and healthy life so he can continue to take me on walks, give me my medicine and of course my treats.

he’s the best!  I love him very much and I would just be the happiest pup ever if some hero reads this and decides to give papa the gift of life.
