Hey guess what Hermitblr? I come bearing news.
Many of you are aware that as of yesterday July 23, YouTube implemented a policy that-among other things-changed the status of all unlisted videos older than 2017 to private. If you knew this, you may have also guessed that this change would have a profound effect on the archive and the Hermitcraft History project.
Because many of the creators that I tend to study no longer have an internet presence at all, they are rendered unable to opt out of this change. Their history and their impact on the SMP community are gone forever. Lost to the void of the YouTube creator space.
Except, of course, they're really not.
Since I was informed of this impending doom three days ago, the Hermitcraft History discord server has been scrambling tirelessly to rescue what we can of those creators that have long since left us behind. Eighteen straight hours of teamwork and one particularly sleepless night later we have an archive.
As much as I would like to credit them by name, the major contributors to this effort have all chosen to remain anonymous. The results, however, are linked here: the first will send you to a site archive of Spumwack's Hermitcraft episodes, the second to a google drive containing what isn't linked in the first as well as Kiershar's archive and a few miscellaneous videos.

We actively chose not to archive anything newer than 2017 as it is not affected by the new policy, nor did we rescue the Hermitcraft recap as it is a) not my jurisdiction and b) more than likely covered by the Reddit and/or Zloy himself.
