Ignoring Jim being his sacrificial impulsive self, how cool is him going through the portal to the darklands. It's like he falls forward, but backwards and upside down and doesn't fall at all, all at the same time? He just DOES it, like he's done it 100 times before, AND mostly sticks the landing. The portal closes as soon as he's through too, where it usually just stays open? I hc that that's Jim willing it closed, consciously or unconsciously, via the amulet. Nothing gets out, and nothing follows him in.
Poor Bular(😭😢) aka the thing I realised some time ago during watching S01E13
I am not sure if anyone ever realised that but the few seconds before the Killahead was destroyed, Bular actually tried to run through.
Not to stop Draal but get inside before it gets closed.
This brought me many times when I saw that that his main thought wasn't to bring Gunmar to the surf world but to be with him. No matter where that would be.
Honestly, I wish him to manage run through.
True, Gunmar would be mad that he failed but happy to see his only (alive?) child run to him.
I haven't read any of the 6 books but I saw a few pictures inspirated from the parts where Gunmar mourns his son's death as he holds his stone head or where he is having the nightmare where he is standing next to Bular.
Once you realise how emotional it actually is, it starts to hurt you and kinda wish that they won.

I think my biggest disappointment with Tales of Arcadia ending is in Wizards, we never got told who is the mysterious little figure crossing Killahead Bridge with Jim and Callista and the two trolls in episode 3. My money is on a preteen Douxie, but it looks like a story line that got started and was abandoned. Thank god for fanfic.
The Arcane Order is both nonbinary goals and nonbinary excellence. I honestly don't think any of them even have a gender.
