this game is free on Steam
people meme on it like "this looks like a fake game people play on sitcoms" or whatever but I mean it is a 2013 reboot of a 1994 Rare/Midway game - there's a terminator, pirate skeleton, cybernetic velociraptor, Rash from Battletoads
also it seems genuinely fun & exciting especially with the music and announcer, and the tutorial only takes like 10 minutes but in that time it teaches literally every fundamental of the entire genre that is univerally applicable to pretty much any fighting game
not in an overwhelming way either, it's just like "hit this button, look at how this happened when you hit that button, now hit that button when the opponent does this, look at how they stopped doing that when you hit the button" and it's one of the main pillars of all offense/defense in every fighting game ever made
