“she told cassie to suck it up 😿😿” wow shrink your amygdala and grow your brain. are u so completely unable to read past the surface??? can you comprehend anything at all??? like genuinely even a 5th grader could get this. because cassie ends up spelling it out for u in the damn page: 3 people were going thru it, cassie michael & sloane. LIA COULDNT TELL MICHAEL TO SUCK IT UP BECAUSE BRO WOULDNT HAVE LISTENED ??? do u guys know michael’s character even a little bit?? HE DOESNT LIKE HEING TOLD WHAT TO DO especially when his emotions r this heightened. he came back after meeting with his father who beat his ass bro (lia literally said he was one bad decision away from eloping with a showgirl. do u guys really think that he was in the right headspace to listen to to lia??? fuck out my faceee😭😭😭) she also couldn’t tell sloane because sloane would’ve been CRUSHED, sloane isn’t really able understand many peoples actions, she would have thought that lia was genuinely dismissing her. she told cassie because she knew cassie would’ve been the most equipt to handle it (even cassie thought so). cassie said lia had said those words for a reason and said this, & i quote “You’re not cruel. Not like that.” and about the way she said it and her phrasing like omgggg yall want her to sugar coat shit sooo bad like omg grow tf up and stop being a whiny bitchass baby she was saying it how it is ppl were literally dying and time was ticking actually shut up. lia said she gets that this is hard for her and she gets that cassie has every right to deal with it but IN HER OWN WAY AND TIME. no one there at the current moment had the emotional bandwidth to deal with cassie’s situation. she also literally warned cassie before hand that she likes her and doesn’t hate her so what she said wasn’t coming from a place of malice. also cassie didn’t even take it this personally LMFAO. she understood ! also did u guys conveniently forget when lia told her it was her turn? when michael was finally in the right headspace she told him to put his big boy pants on because it was cassie’s turn. it wasn’t an orchestrated attack against cassie. plus cassie is a team player, she hates breaking down when she needs to solve shit so lia giving her a way to focus on michael and sloane was to give her time and so in the end her breakdown is not all of a sudden. they were at issue capacity. they had cases to solve. ppl should be thanking lia instead because she was actually the one who took initiative and starting setting things in order so it wouldn’t have gotten out of hand. too many emotions running wild during such an important case would have been BAD!!! do i need to explain why it would have been bad too?? or can u grasp that by urself 😹

start of the book lia told cassie the truth abt the old ppl hung on the wall because she didn’t want cassie finding out on her own like she did because it could scare cassie a lot finding this out all on her own, lia didn’t like being lied to about it so she made sure cassie didn’t have to go thru that either (BECASUE SHE CARES! even tho just JUST met cassie)
lia giving cassie the run down of everything (this is so cute im 😭)
was the FIRST to ask cassie if she was okay (with a whole emotion reader & profiler in the room, LIA was the first to ask)
noticed cassie was uncomfortable and cut the convo short (she’s so in tune with cassie’s emotions bro 🥹🫰🫰)
brushed cassies hair while cassie was crying and made her laugh #cassieliacanon
cares abt dean so much like das her brudda 😿😿
hugged & comforted sloane even tho she says she isn’t a hugger & doesn’t like showing vulnerability but knows sloane needed her
THE emotion reader literally said she’s more vulnerable than she lets on
comforted cassie and opened up about her own cult experience to help with cassie’s own cult related problems after sloane told lia cassie is down
still helped & cared abt michael even after allat shit he put her thru
cried and smashed things when cassie went missing + felt like someone put her in a hole (the hole being the place they used to lock her in as a child (like 6+) for days. an underground pit where she was left alone for days as punishment for refusing to submit or repent the way they wanted)
like against all odds this girl got super attached to cassie (and michael) in only a span of a few months. YES even after her situationship and brother and sloane. obviously watching everyone drift toward the new girl is gonna make ANYBODY feel some typa way. it made her feel replaced. she’s seventeen and doesn’t really know how to handle losing people like that like GOD FORBID A GIRL ACTS HER AGE
