Lazarus water is not corrupt, rotten ectoplasm, or ghost zone sewage. The closest analog I can think of to what I have in mind is some kind of honey, or stale wine, the emotions left behind by people revived by water are spices from a ghost perspective.

Lazarus water from a ghost perspective would smell like a combination of absolutely delicious food and an irresistible colony.

Jason goes through pit rage because the emotions in the water that wouldn't normally affect a ghost are affecting him and his core can't filter or get new ecto. What it boils down to is that Jason from a ghost perspective is a treat, a snack, he's very attractive. I'm thinking maybe he'd smell something sweet like ginger. His echo has an appealing spicy aroma.

Ra on the other hand is let's say he smells delicious, an aged wine that makes your mouth water, that's when you smell it. Its echo would perhaps have a slightly sour or bitter taste. I think he would be closer to alcohol than wine than Jason.
