The Challenge is On!

So what on earth, is this random group of people doing?

Well, the idea is, a team has formed through The Barn Fitness Club in Cholsey, Oxfordshire. We have (somehow!) committed ourselves to climb Kilimanjaro in June 2019. The challenge is a personal one, a group one and a money raising one. We endeavour to raise at least £20,000 for The Nasio Trust.

This is the first post of many to come. Over time, I will reveal the personalities of the team. For now, I am only just getting to know them myself. Personally, this is one of the best parts of such an event; getting to know new people as we come together through something so very different. It promises to be a life-changing enterprise and it will be fascinating to see how very different our personal experiences turn out to be.

Thank you for reading so far! But, what is in it for you? Maybe, this is something you have the desire to do, too? Perhaps, we can share some tips during our adventure; this year-long training and fund raising events, then the actual climb up Kilimanjaro itself! There will definitely be laughs, and probably a few tears. Only time will tell! Stay with us and all will be revealed. x
