My senses are highly attuned to spot spiders in our house.
A Little Help
There will be mentions of killing a spider, so if you don’t like that I suggest reading something else.
Harry was juggling his groceries while trying to unlock his door when the door across the hall opened. Leaning in the doorway was a tall, lanky man with striking blonde hair. Pushing down the sudden attraction he felt was about to consume him, Harry gave the stranger a tentative smile.
“Hi.” Much to Harry’s chagrin, the stranger’s voice was silky and smooth, perfectly tailored to his handsome appearance. Moving to foot to foot, Harry waited for him to continue. “I haven’t seen you around. Have you recently moved in?”
“I’ve been here for about a year now,” Harry answered. The stranger’s cheeks turned a nice pink shade. Harry thought it suited him.
“Oh,” he said. “Sorry, I don’t get out much.” Harry nodded to reassure him and then readjusted himself to unlock his door. Before he could, however, the stranger spoke again. “Actually, I was wondering if you could help me out. I’ve seemed to have gotten myself into a bit of a predicament.”
Harry found himself nodding in agreement - Who cares if a handsome stranger has a plot to lure you into his apartment to murder you, right? “Can I just-?” Harry gestured to his bags and the stranger nodded, waiting patiently as Harry unlocked the door and laid the bags down.
“Alright then, what is it you need help with?”
For the first time, the stranger hesitates. “Well...” Harry gives an encouraging nod and he continues, “There’s a spider in my kitchen. Normally, I would have a friend come over or something, but they’re all out of town or working. This is really embarrassing. Since I have no other options-”
“Do you want me to kill a spider for you?” Harry cut off the stranger’s ramblings. His neighbor nodded and, without putting much thought to it, Harry agreed.
Following the man, Harry found himself in a flat that mirrored his own. The only difference seemed to be the abundance of photos that adorned the walls where Harry had none. The photos included shots of two older adults with hair that matched his neighbors - his parents. Throughout the other photos, there was an Asian woman with a black bob, a dark-skinned man with earrings in both ears and two large men who seemed to be joined at the hip (there were no photos of one without the other).
Harry didn’t have a chance to study the pictures further before he was lead into the kitchen. His neighbor pointed towards the counter opposite them and Harry moved forward slowly, keeping an eye out for any movement that indicated where the spider had gone.
He didn’t have to wait long for the spider to come out of its hiding place under an empty plate. It was black as far as Harry could tell and about the size of a fingernail. Using a paper towel, he was able to take care of the spider without much hassle.
While he threw the towel away, the stranger said, “My hero.” Harry felt his cheeks heat. What else were you supposed to do when a handsome stranger asks for your help? The other man seemed to come to himself. “Oh, silly me, I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Draco, Draco Malfoy.”
He held his pale hand out and Harry took it before replying with his own name. With his hand in Draco’s, he felt a weird sensation. Almost as if this should’ve happened in an alternate reality. but didn’t, so they’re making up for it in this one.
“I feel like I should thank you, Harry,” Draco said, his hand still holding Harry’s. “Let me make you dinner.”
Harry felt a smile tugging at his lips, “I’d like that.” Draco let go of his hand then, but Harry wasn’t worried. He knew they’d have all the time in the world to do whatever they pleased.

Necrobotics
The horrifying thing about this is the willingness to kill a living creature to make a tool. These scientists should be ashamed of themselves.
Reanimated spider corpses are seriously creepy—but they have several practical uses, researchers say.
I just killed a monstrous spider, where's my million dollar reward???
