“Shit. Shit, fuck. Fuck shit. Oh my god.”

You stopped, sitting down on the bathroom floor. One day. It was one day until Ateez flew to Europe for their tour and this happens?

The word ‘pregnant’ staring back at you from the screen of the blue pregnancy test.

“It could be wrong!” you laughed, in shock, “it could be wrong, it could be wrong!”

You washed out the cup before peeing in it again and dipping a new pregnancy test in.

“I’m home!” Hongjoong called, you could almost hear the smile in his voice.

He was so excited about America. Ateez; a rookie group, touring in America. But you knew Hongjoong, he’d drop it if it meant staying with you while you were pregnant.

You couldn’t possibly not tell him. Then what, he returns home a few months down the line to find a huge bump? It was absurd.

“Y/N?!”

“Be down in a minute!” you called, you timer going off as you checked the new test: positive.

Washing your hands off, and taking the pregnancy tests in your hand, you sighed. It was now or never.

“Hey! I was thinking could order food in? I have to pack and I saw you hadn’t started dinner so I—”

“Joong,” you interrupted, “look.”

You threw the tests down in front of him, landing on the bed, their weight being so, so heavy.

“What is this?” he asked, picking them up, “p-pregnant?”

“I only just found out,” you breathed, “I didn’t know, and I had to tell you! I need to go to the doctor of course, and we don’t have to keep them, but– but... Hongjoong?”

“Y/N,” he laughed, his grin covering his entire face as he turned to you, “we’re having a baby?!”

Slowly, you nodded, and before you knew it, you were in Hongjoong’s arms being twirled around.

“You’re happy? This is happy?”

“Of course this is happy!” Hongjoong cheered, “I love you so much, Y/N! I can’t believe we’re having a baby!”

Hongjoong’s hands rested on your stomach.

“I– I have to go to America,” he suddenly said, his voice sounding sullen as he sat on the edge of the bed.

“I know,” you pouted, “it’s okay. By the time you come home, you’ll be able to tell them stories about their super-famous-Daddy’s life.”

“B-But I won’t be here, Y/N. Pregnancy is so hard, an– and I’m not gonna be here.”

“Joong, you’re only gone for the easy bits. You’ll be back, when? May?”

Joong nodded sadly.

“You’ll be back once I’m six months pregnant. Yes, I’ll have a bump, but it won’t be hard until then, okay? Everything’s fine,” you soothed, kissing his head, “don’t you dare be sad, okay? You’re going on a world tour, Joong!”

Hongjoong smiled with a slight chuckle, “everything’s come at me at once.”

“And you deserve it so much,” you whispered.

“I want to marry you,” Hongjoong said, quickly, “this isn’t my proposal because you deserve so much more but– but I want you to know.”

You laughed, tears coming to your eyes, “I already don’t deserve you, honey. You could give me a candy ring and I would marry you in a heartbeat.”

Hongjoong laughed in shock, “I can’t believe we’re having a baby! I’ll take care of you two, I promise.”

You smiled, cupping your boyfriend’s face with your hands as you whispered, “I know you will. Thank you.”
