Another fanart comment!

These are why I call Frontier kids as detention gang... in an affectionate way. But for now I will stick with adorable pyjama arts.

The official artwork:

First: I really like the color pallet! Not so bright or dark, but it somehow feels very Frontier-ish. They look cute, and the pillows. I want to hug those. The background lighter vertical stripes and the darker horizontal stripes on their pyjama feel so contrast, so it also highlights the kids.

Takuya: I have a feeling that he does have many googles for different purposes... and always not on his eyes. And a part of his hair is being pressed into funny style. He is also having a Kanbara's big smile, and his face somehow feels a bit teasingly hilarious?

Kouji: The hand before his mouth only has one meaning: he is tired with others' shenanigans and just want to sleep. And some of his hair strands are a bit messed and point out. Actually, I think this is how you should show a cool character being sleepy: not so silly, but still entertaining.

Izumi: I like her bow. Beside, there's no much things to say except of how she makes sure to be in style despite of being sleepy.

Tomoki: His hat(?) and Junpei's ones lool cute, right~ And his smile shows that he is having fun.

Junpei: To be simple: he just looks silly, yawning and stretching like that. Junpei looks really sleepy and I wonder why… Although he and Tomoki lean into different sides, their hat are in the same position.

Kouichi: He is being a nice, gentle boy like always, with the most normal face. And it is not surprising that the Warrior of Darkness don't feel much sleepy! (Takuya and Tomoki also don't, but this is more relevant to how active they are, right?)

And these two are fanworks.

Translation and guess context (Anyone who is fluent in Japanese, can you check this for me?) To be honest, I shouldn't be this serious as this is just a fanart, but still.

Izumi: Once again, you has made another amazing reaction, Kouji♡. (Kondo mo, sugoi hankyou yo Kouji♡.)

今回も (konkai mo): "This time too," implying that something similar might have happened before. すごい反響 (sugoi hankyō): "Amazing reaction." This highlights that whatever occurred was significant enough to elicit a strong response from others. よ (yo): A feminine sentence-ending particle used to emphasize a statement or express emotion. It adds a touch of excitement or assertion. Kouji♡... is not the thing to analyze, right? This is fanmade after all.

Kouji: I'm sleepy. (Ore wa nemui n da.)

俺 (ore): A masculine pronoun for "I," used casually among close male friends. は (wa): The topic marker particle. 眠い (nemui): "Sleepy." んだ (n da): A contraction of "no da," an explanatory particle. It often adds a nuance of "because" or "you see." It's just so Kouji's style of speech.

Takuya: Kouji, you know, haven't you changed your character?! -that's what I think, but I also love a Kouji like that, so please keep releasing and showing us that Kouji. (Kouji omae sore saa, kyara kawatte nai ka!! -- tto ore wa omou n da ga, sonna Kouji mo daisuki dakara kore kara mo sonna Kouji o dashite kure.)

お前 (omae): A very informal and direct masculine pronoun for "you." Its use implies a close, possibly even somewhat playful, relationship. それ (sore): "That,". さぁ (saa): An interjectory particle often used when starting to say something or when feeling slightly unsure. It adds a casual and conversational tone. キャラ変わってないか!! (kyara kawattenai ka!!): "Hasn't your character changed?!" "Kyara" is a loanword from "character." The "nai ka" at the end is a question tag seeking confirmation. The double exclamation marks emphasize his surprise. ―っと (tto): An onomatopoeic-like particle used to express a thought or feeling suddenly. 俺は思うんだが (ore wa omounda ga): "I think," with the "n da ga" adding a nuance of "but" or "although," suggesting a slight reservation or a contrast to what follows. そんな輝二も大好きだから (sonna Kouji mo daisuki dakara): "Because I love that kind of Kouji too." "Sonna" means "that kind of." "Daisuki" means "love" (in a friendly or familial sense here). "Dakara" means "because." これからもそんな輝二を出してくれ (kore kara mo sonna Kouji o dashite kure): "Please keep showing us that kind of Kouji from now on." "Kore kara mo" means "from now on." "Dashite kure" is a request, asking Kouji to continue acting this way. As I had said, this is a fanart, so there's no meaningful reason here for Takuya to use daisuke or dashite kure.

Junpei: You can't judge a book by its cover. (Hito wa mikake ni yoranai na.)

人は見かけによらない (hito wa mikake ni yoranai): A common Japanese proverb meaning "people are not what they seem" or "you can't judge a book by its cover." な (na): A sentence-ending particle often used to express a feeling of realization or agreement.

I think Junpei just wants to act knowledgably here and to agree with Izumi...

Tomoki: You might actually secretly enjoy this kind of thing, maybe~♡ (Hontou wa kou iu no suki dattari shite~♡)

本当は (hontō wa): "Actually," "in reality," or "truthfully." こういうの (kōiu no): "This kind of thing," referring to whatever Kouji did that caused the reaction. 好きだったりして (suki dattari shite): "Might have liked" or "could be that you liked." The "dattari shite" construction expresses speculation or possibility.

It's a bit funny that both Izumi and Tomoki have a ♡ at the end of their words.

(About Tomoki's "~", I blame Takuya for this. And Tomoki is just as chaotic like other Warriors.)

How do we change from the two above to this, I will never know. But from their sleepy, almost drugged face, we only can guess...

Takuya seems like he had already slept and ignored whatever others had done. (He acts like he hadn't done anything, which... 90% is no true.)

Kouji just wants to sleep, but he doesn't like to be unresponsible like Takuya. Saying so, he looks like he will sleep and lean on Takuya's shoulder soon. And his mouth dropped a bit, and I guess he will soon drool.

Tomoki is having an "I'm innocent, these older guys have bad impacts on me." face. Cunning.

Izumi seems like she will bring the boys some interesting time for this. And are my eyes tricking me or she looks almost confused at the fact that they were caught?

Junpei is being angry. Maybe because others have been careless and not following his "talented" plan. Or maybe he just doesn't want to be marked as "guilty".

Kouichi is the only one smiles. And he is also the odd one being drawn with shades over half of his body. One has to wonder what do others do to cause the only person who was sober at first to now have dark circles under his eyes. (Although his smile and pose seem to tell the opposite thing... And you can't see him in the second art, so where is he...?)

Alright, it's my headcanon, analysis and statements for some arts of the detention adolescents criminal Frontier gang being in pyjama outfits. If you find anything to add or criticize, just comment!
