May I have some fluffy headcanons about braiding King's hair, even if we're tiny, we somehow make it work?

Braiding Kings Hair

No one touched King’s hair. No one dared. It wasn’t exactly a rule—it was just understood. But the first time you asked, all he did was glance over his shoulder… and kneel.

You still had to stand on the bed or a wooden crate to reach him properly. The top of his head felt like a mountain, his back a wall of obsidian armor. But you were determined. And he was... oddly still.

He didn’t say a word that first time. Just sat there, wings relaxed, while your fingers carefully worked through thick strands of his silver-white hair.

You hum when you braid. Soft little nothings, sometimes old lullabies from your childhood. At first, you thought he wasn’t listening. But then you caught him humming one of them under his breath two days later.

His hair is surprisingly smooth despite the chaos of battle and flight. You told him once it reminded you of moonlight reflected on steel. He said nothing—but he didn’t pull away either.

When you braid it tight, he’ll sometimes leave it in for the entire day. Other times he undoes it right after you finish—but only once you’ve turned away. Never in front of you.

One evening, just being playful, you tied a little fabric ribbon at the end of his braid. It was a silly thing you had lying around, a soft scrap of color against all that dark. He didn’t remove it. Wore it into the war room.

Someone commented. King didn’t respond. He didn’t need to. The silence was answer enough.

After long flights or brutal missions, you’ll find him sitting on the edge of the bed, elbows on his knees, silent. Waiting. No words spoken—but he’s waiting for you. You always come.

Braiding his hair became a ritual. Your fingers in his hair. His presence grounding yours. No threats. No Beast Pirate hierarchy. Just a giant soldier and the one person he let this close.

Once, when your fingers brushed the back of his neck mid-braid, he murmured, almost inaudibly, “You’re the only one who does this.” You smiled. “I know.”

He didn’t reply. But his wing shifted behind you—slowly curling around your legs, a sheltering gesture he didn’t acknowledge.

He watched from the safety of the shadows as your brother tried to rescue you again, he was doing everything his power to get to you. Asking people around, he had made the foolish mistake of asking the man that had stolen his sibling why they slept. He looked at the worn out picture faded with age and use.

You looked younger in the picture happier; he watched the desperate plea in your brother’s eyes. He was also in the picture, younger, happier, healthier. Now the boy was looking well-worn face. He looked older than he should for his age, his clothes torn and worn out, and his shoes almost gone from the amount of miles he walked in them.

Who’s-who pulled out is cigarette from his lips and blew at the young’s man face, “Never saw them before,” He lied watching the young boy cough. He was shopping for you, went searching for you book as a reward and was heading home.

“Please,” the boy said between coughs, “They are my sibling, I miss them,” tears were running down his cheek.

Who’s-who sighed again annoyed he had to remove that bit of hope. He blew another puff a of smoke at the young man’s face before hitting his solar plexus knocking the wind out your brother, “Give up searching for them,” he said, “or risk ending up dying,” He kicked the young man on the head who was on his knees trying to gasp for breath.

Who’s-who smirked he wasn’t going to give you up. You were his and the boy had to know.

She was close to you, she had been searching for her older sibling for a long time, being a stow away in pirate ships or asking the marines to take you to the next island. The vivre card kept pointing at her in the right direction, did she finally hit a strange island.

There was an eerie feeling in the air she wandered around looking for her sibling asking pictures and about her sibling. They smiled, a few people didn’t know but a few people knew who her sibling was and pointed her the direction of a castle but with a vague warning to run not get near the castle and leave everything be.

She could only frown, she was going to save her sibling. She glanced at the vivre card would burn or go close to going out before jumping back to normal like nothing had happened. She frowned walking towards the castle unaware someone had been watching her. She felt boney arms reach around her  ankle before she found herself in this weird world surrounded by mirrors and you standing there.

You glared at her, “Leave now,” you said glaring. You followed your comment with harsh words before you ran to attack.  She didn’t notice your tears, as she dodged your attack before the same hands wrapped around her throwing her out.

She watched your tears and a strange man wrapping his arms around you pushing you close. She was unaware that you gave up your life,  you would be Katakuri’s prisoner in exchange for her life.

He held your brother in the dungeon, King walked around him and scoffed at the bravery of your brother. You were chained near the wall there to watch, he wanted you see what happened if you dare decided to run away, there was no where safe for you to run. Anybody that dare help you would be tortured.

You watched helplessly trying your best to save your brother. You had only a bit of hope when you saw brother for the first time after years of not seeing him. He was in the middle of picking the lock from the chain around your ankle before he was knocked out sliding across the floor. King grabbed you his eyes staring down at you, you knew you messed up, knew you were in trouble but your  brother had nothing to do with this.  You had to beg King not to hurt your brother, but your words were in vain.

He dragged you down the hall, with your brother down to dungeon.  You could only whimper feeling helpless as he took a seat next to you petting your hair as he waited for your brother to wake up.

“Your mine,” he said, “All mine,” he brushed his fingers through your hair. When your brother woke up. He began torturing your brother. You had to close your eyes begging King to let him go before he walked to you covered in your brother’s blood, “You are mine,” he said. He kissed your lips; he found something oddly satisfaction seeing your ridden face. How much control he had for you.

He began walking away, dragging your brother’s limp body away . He didn’t kill him, but this was a warning. You couldn’t hide anywhere and if you did he would kill all those you love.

Alright I was thinking… What if King/Alber had found someone who was gentle with him for the very first time. King refuses to acknowledge the hidden desire he has for soft touches, as well as never looking into his feelings about your fingers that lightly trace his face whenever you think he is asleep.

They're always so subtle, almost natural as he barely feels them glide across his rough skin, tracing the tattoo on the side of his face and smoothening the wrinkle in between his eyebrows. He expects them yet he is never sure where to start judging.

It's been many years since anyone touched him in such a way so it's not a surprise when he is hyperaware of your every digit slowly caressing any part of him, it's quite different from everyone else so far, it makes him freeze for a second before melting into your touch, however, it can be difficult to tell since he is never reactive during it.

But the most flustering act for him has to be the way your eyes always seem to search for him, landing on his form in the crowd before smiling. It never fails to brighten his days. King holds those glances and gazes so close to his heart that it's almost disgraceful for a man such as him. Love can be felt from a distance and you are the living proof of it.

But it's the bedroom where he tries to return your affections, his hands at the start are always so careful with your body, molding it into his liking and bending it to his will, tugging at your pleasure until you weep from bliss, but it doesn't last, as much as he tries to please you, he still crosses the lines he shouldn't, his grip becomes hotter, your face blurs through the motions and your voice gets lost in explicit sounds, however, he drifts through the pleasure, bringing you along with him.

After all he had gone through during his childhood, King is averse to anything related to socializing or people in general. He is someone with huge trust issues towards everyone beside Kaido whom he trusts blindly and thinks he’s Joy Boy, his real savior. So don’t expect him to trust you and be kind to you at first.

In the beginning, he would actually be cold and kind of sarcastic to you, as he doesn’t seem to care about other people besides, you know, Kaido. So it would be a long and bumpy road before King shows any kind of interest in you or deigns to look at you.

You definitely need to be patient and resilient with him as it would be hard to stand against his hard criticism. Indeed, expect him to criticize you every time you make a mistake. His harsh comments are not necessarily there to bring you down, but are on the contrary there to help you do better and to improve yourself. King believes in hard work in order to progress. So you would also need to be a hard worker, someone searching for growth, for him to get a slight interest in you.

I can also see kindness be something that would attract him to you. He certainly deems you as weak at least at first. But, since he was always beaten as a kid and feared as a man, King doesn’t know kindness nor understand it. If he doesn’t deem you weak he would think you’re trying to manipulate others by showing them appreciation. So, then he understands you’re being 100% true. It clearly intrigues him and attracts him your way. 

King may be hard and seen as heartless by many, but he is far from being emotionless. He believed in Kaido, and literally hoped for him to be his savior. Thus, when he felt his heart infatuated with you, he understood that he was in love with you, and that you were a new hope for his future, a better one. King doesn’t feel shame about his love for you, therefore he wouldn’t have any problem confessing to you. In fact he would be the first to make a step.

King is ready to get rejected since he knows about his reputation and his awful behavior, but ready to get accepted? Not at all. He would be totally surprised and a little moved to see that you’re ready to give him a chance even though he is far from being perfect boyfriend material.

During the dating stage, King would be on his tiptoes. He doesn’t know anything about dating and romance, so he would be kind of clueless in the beginning. But he is trying.
