These several sentences are from the upcoming chapter of my main WIP, Rule Britannia. I’m so excited to post this chapter! Hoping to finish it up tonight (if my brain cooperates). So without further ado…

Just what he needed, Alex thought, for the looming presence of Philip over their lives to become viscerally real with him standing in their room while Alex lay prone on the bed, nearly naked but for his briefs, the blanket unhelpfully pooled around his waist. Alex felt the gaze of the King settle on him. There was a part of Alex that was embarrassed to be seen this way, while another part of him was simply too curious about why Philip had come to their room to care about his state of undress.

“He’s mine,” Henry suddenly said sharply, his voice carrying a teasing lilt that barely dulled the possessive edge. “You can’t have him.”

Alex heard Henry putting his book down and getting up, then the unmistakeable swishing sound of Henry pulling on his luxurious silk dressing gown.

Philip chuckled. “I wouldn’t dream of taking him from you, dear brother. Besides, he’s a bit…red blooded American male for my taste. I prefer an English Rose.”

Hopefully this chapter begins to answer some long standing questions my readers have been asking about the true nature of Henry and Philip’s relationship. Can you tell Philip is my fave?

For MerMay! (I'm late, I know, but it's never too late for mermaids right?)

First picture, is Meeshell Mermaid in her mermaid form and her parents, Queen Pearl and King Philip. I was really trying to make them look as regal as possible. I also took a lot of liberties with the Queen and King because we don't really know what they look like.

The next group are Coral Witch and her mother. The first two are them according to the books, and the last two are for @sayuricorner's Twisted Ever After AU, where Coral and her mother are descendants of Ursula, the Sea Witch. I tried to show them as related as possible, but also show how distant they are with each other in terms of personality.

I feel like Coral would have potions in order to give herself a mermaid tail instead of tentacles, as she's already isolated as is, being the daughter of a villain. After meeting Azul and the twins and seeing the Sea Witch's statue, she stops taking the potions and embraces her heritage more.
