i've discussed this before but i'm so deeply fond of imagining the conversations that led to how spades interpreted his role in the grand scheme of things. it could be that he just took everything in a biased manner himself, but i'm so compelled by the idea that jevil himself played into those biases for the love of the game. he had to have embellished somewhat for spades king to speak as he does.
