🔴 I'm so tired with people who act like sex is evil and refusing to write any nsfw is better for ace people. It is so patronizing.
🔴 Asexuality, like many things, is a spectrum, and also not every ace person is sex repulsed. We occasionally struggle with it, but that is our problem, it doesn't mean other people need to stop being sexual or kinky.
🔴 Stop invoking asexual people as a shield for your hatred of kinks, fetishes, and nsfw works!! Lack of sexual attraction DOESN'T MEAN that you cannot write and draw and create sexy media!
🔴 Honestly it would be like claiming that a gay man could never write about a straight couple. That is a ridiculous logic to follow, blatantly untrue, and it causes you to dehumanize people into stick on labels, rather than complex individuals.
Asexual people who like kink are valid. You do not have to justify your Asexuality. Keep being as kinky or not kinky as you want. You're always accepted in my book.
Any resources you'd recommend for aces looking to explore/experiment with kink, particularly bondage? (Bonus points for having ace perspectives on kink, including non-sexual kink.)
Can any kinky aces help anon out here?
Any other aces have extremely sexual, kinky fantasies but not want to actually do them with anyone even over text? when i imagine these kinky scenarios, i can't really "see" the person doing them with me. this is different from aces who say they're into kink but in a non-sexual way. my fantasies are entirely sexual, im just not feeling any attraction to anyone and im not participating with anyone else while i have sex.
Could I get some encouragement? I thought for a long time that I would never get to engage in kink because I'm gray-ace. After discovering places like this blog a few years ago, I decided I would try. Now I'm in a theoretically kinky relationship of about 1.5 years, and I'm sadly realizing I'll probably have to look elsewhere for my kinks. I love him and we're polya, but I'm still really discouraged. Do actively kinky relationships exist for ace-spec people? Should I just accept not having that?
How do all you kinky aces explore and play?
Anyone have an ace/ace relationship that involves kink things?
So I think I have a light bondage kink
I've recently begun questioning my sexuality. For the longest time I didn't do this because I'm super kinky, and I thought being kinky meant I couldn't be asexual. Then the internet opened me to the possibility that kinky doesn't have to mean sexual. Is this something you've run into in the BDSM community much?
Yes! I abstained from sex for over two years and focused specifically on kink and it was like the best time ever. There are tons of asexuals into kink (and even sexual people into non-sexual kinks, specifically with pet play and DDLG, etc.) and I’m sure there are groups for discussion and meet-ups on the subject. Also, with the prevalence of poly-situations, I think the kink-community would be much more open to asexual partners than even vanilla LGBT folks.
You have a non-sexual space in this community, and many of us welcome you with open arms!
