One of my favorite projects from 2023!
Looking back at one of the scarce Dark Crystal drawings I have left from my childhood (severely torn by my pesky classmates back in the day), I thought it might be fun to redraw the same scene I had tried to draw back in 1987.
(Isn't it ironic how being bullied *because you're the "dumb nerd" that draws* during elementary school can end up building into a small, happy job as a drawing artist as an adult? I can't do less but send out this message to any young (or old!) artist who might need to read it: Don't let anyone tell you what you can or can't be: as long as you're not hurting anyone, you have a right to express yourself, do what you love and be who you are!
Work hard to meet your goals, keep loving what you do, and don't let anyone stop you!)
