Statement begins:
While I would never actually submit a statement regarding an interaction with Kirk Langstrom through online forums. I have unfortunately received evidence that has forced me to consider the credibility to his case.
To begin, I don’t quite see the point in being on this online forum. My colleague, John Martin, sees it as an activity to ‘open my circle or--- make more friends’. Personally, I think this is ludicrous, and have thought better to instead use this as a channel through the Institute. This will allow me to receive more statements and well, network. Early one morning, I decided to commentate on the wakefulness of everyone within this forum. It was through this that I put in contact with Kirk Langstrom, who claimed to never sleep.
Kirk Langstrom is a 37-year old afro-latino, who currently resides in Gotham, New Jersey and works as a scientist as an occupation. He claims to have been both dead, and vampire for 11 years. Whether being dead and a vampire are synonymous with one another is supposedly something that’s case by case. In his, he was apparently poisoned. Kirk does not claim to feed on the humans unless asked. He has also concocted a “synthetic” blood supply that apparently does not service him through digestion, but instead circulation. In addition, Kirk claims that through his.... “change,” he’s developed fangs, retractable claws, red eyes with split pupils, and slightly pointed ears.
As you can see, half way through this statement anyone would have tossed this into the trash without a second thought. If you have already done so, I do not blame you. However, I have taken the photo of him given to me and put it into this file. I have also received the.
The before, and after, to his dental records. The first one was taken 11 years ago, date listed at the bottom. The second was taken recently. They are indeed real.
I will be further investigating this on my own time, and will procure enough evidence as I go.

Oh right, my story.
It was the spring of '09, we had just taken our picture for a puff piece on Alexander Joseph Luthor, mentored for the Gotham Gazette. At this point in my life, I'm dying of leukemia, so I'm glad to be done with school, so that I can hurry up and do something with the rest of my life before some minor disease kills me.
Later that night, I was dragged to a party by Tina Laurie and William Magnus, because apparently I wasn't doing anything important. I didn't mind, but the result of that night would lead to a very productive five days after a long rest in the hospital.
Over my years at Gotham University, I worked with bats to study their immune systems, I was an opportunist beyond anyone's wildest dreams, and while I had accepted that I could die very soon, I never gave up on finding a cure. I was always close to some kind of breakthrough but never as eye-opening as when Magnus showed me his current project. Nanites.
Curious little things they were, they could recreate anything if given the right materials. But most importantly, they could bind to and create living tissue if given the correct base.
So we spent five days in the lab, short naps and even shorter breaks, trying to fix the incurable human condition. The good news is that we did! If the cure was left untainted, it could have been used to help so many more people, not just myself, and that was always my intent. Magnus, on the other hand, was a sneaky, seething, jealous son of a bitch, and I regret loving him as I did for so many years.
It wasn't until recently that I learned this, but Magnus never wanted to help me, he just wanted me out of the way because Tina loved me more than she loved him. Magnus tainted the sample he gave me, in what way I do not know, and while my cancer was cured, I think i would have preferred a more permanent death.
In short, I lost all the blood in my body, and most of my organs shut down unless necessary for the circulation and regulation of blood. My heart beats, but only barely. I don't make my own heat. Every movement I make is calculated as to not waste the energy I have.

Its with great indignation that there is little we can do here to investigate. While I’m sure Martin would enjoy a little vacation to the states to pursue this at the locations mentioned, it’s not worth the money, and unfortunately the time. Despite the fact I now have Kirk Langstrom’s statement, this isn’t enough evidence to confirm that he is indeed a vampire. Although, I’m starting to feel like he isn’t one. Well one that would be considered a section 31 at least. Just a miserable soul whose been bitten by the diablerie of a close friend and ended up with.
