little basil
Look at how much she’s grown in only three months!! I know there’s some stretching going on but I think it’s cute that way tbh <3 and I’d feel bad giving it ANOTHER trim...
I am starting my own herb garden (finally)!
I started with cilantro. And after doing some research, here's what I've done so far.
1. Find your container. I choose these because water can drain easier.
2. Fill with dirt & pack it down so that there aren't any large air pockets
3. Some say to make the dirt warm before putting in seeds. So I figured why not? (The pot isn't empty, I promise.)
4. You can put quite a few seeds together. Some say to break the pods in half, others say not to worry about it. I broke half the seed pods I used. (Cilantro pods have 2 seeds within the pods)
5. Cover with more dirt! About 1/4 - 1/2 and inch. Pat down, just not too hard.
Keep soil moist, and give lots of sun! Once they sprout, you can keep indoors. I'll post the growth as it happens. Cheers!
Cute kitchen idea- simple boards across the window for potted plants.
