The Convicted

Richard Gecko is on death row awaiting lethal injection, but first-year detective Kate Fuller has been assigned to evaluate the evidence and make sure everything is in order before that happens. What started as a punishment has escalated into something more as Kate sees that everything might not be as cut and dry as it seems. With Seth Gecko and his girl (?) insisting on Richie's innocence and one of them demanding Kate's attention - she's starting to question things. Who is Richard Gecko and why does every conversation feel like a chess game?

Basically, we have a cop AU with Kate investigating the Geckos and this is going to be an intense piece with lots of twists, turns, and death. Richie/Kate pairing.

When the district attorney tells you to keep your nose out of something, you damn well keep your nose out of it!” He interrupted pointing the files. “The only reason I’m not suspending you is that I need that taken care of and I don’t want to waste any of my manpower that will actually listen when I give an order to have to suffer through it.”

Kate/amaru enjoying the sight of richie kneeling at her feet and answering to her every wish. Thinking to herself how good her boy has to be before she lets him see seth again (because obvzly richies whole life would still revolve around his brother even with the new voice in his head)
