I read a comment somewhere that said something along the lines of "Oh to be young and able to sleep in a tiny bed together without destroying your back" and it made me think of these two. xD Poor creaky old guys just wanna snuggle, but the stiffness is real! Nine is extra crunchy, so he's really feeling it.

My ideal Kittails dynamic is Kit wanting both to kill and tear apart Tails (vivisection style perhaps?) so bad it makes him look stupid, meanwhile Tails is like "??? What" as he defends himself

By contrast, my ideal Kitnine dynamic involves a Sonic Prime au where Nine saves Kit baseline and ends up taking in Surge and Kit (not really because he wants to at first), slowly coming to care about the two of them, while Kit comes to respect Nine and get a bit devoted about it (or, code: Kitsunami little buddies it up for Surge and Nine both)
