Just started Tears of the Kingdom and I am loving it. I chuckled when the master sword started glowing like Sting. Also, kudos to everyone who said the zonai civilization would be central to totk bcuz they’re right.
If you sit in the exit gate and wave at the killer and teabag repeatedly you're part of the reason why no one wants to play killer this has been a PSA
Since its Dead Souls week, here’s another clip of what my first playthrough of dead souls was like (Sound On, its very important to the experience)
For those that are not aware already: I am afraid of zombie games. This is how I coped and tried to be less scared of the zombies 😩
Pics of the New Dawn Guns for Hire hangout! And Grace's note (spoilers for Mary-May's status).
Y'all i found the guns for hire hangout
Edit: It's slightly above The FANG Center, where my arrow is
Ngl New Dawn does feel a bit of a quick cash grab but also the worldbuilding really makes me happy. Like yeah they really shouldv'e gone into more with the Twins and the story is lacking admittedly.
But also, I love helping Prosperity and I love watching it grow every time I get enough ethanol for them. I love those cutscenes of watching each area expand and grow makes me so happy. Cause yes i worked hard on getting that shit and i like being rewarded for it.
And at the same time, the worldbuilding is lacking. Where are all the survivor diaries? Where are all the bunkers? In 5 there was a bunker for every named spot and now they're just gone.
It feels half-done, to be blunt. Yes the gameplay is fun, the scenery is wild and beautiful, and the characters are great. But also the worldbuilding is lacking and from Cap's perspective, they really have no reason to help especially when it comes to the New Edeners.
Someone else made a whole discussion about Cap's perspective vs the Player's perspective on the game so i won't go there. But there is a gap between what the player knows and what our main protaganist knows and when you realize that you're like :/. (At least i am)
I'm not really sure where i was going with this but the game is lacking in some departments. And worldbuilding is one of them and that's one topic i love going into. It's still a fun game but it's also not as lived-in and it's frustrating.
Y'all i swear i was going around doing a few outposts last night and I KNOW I HEARD 'HOLLABACK GIRL' ON A RADIO. Also i spent 10 minutes searching one area not for a piece of junk but to find the radio and Kill It.
