We've decided that today for #fanfriday we're going to show off somebody near and dear to our convention, the artist who has brought our mascots to life, Kiwa!! If you follow their Instagram @kiwadraws(which you should!) you will have seen that their drawings, which were already amazing, have been getting better and better! We all can't wait to see what cool new drawings of our mascots they come up with for this year's Ganbatte so stay tuned and let's all continue to watch our young artist grow and keep producing such wonderful pieces of art!!
Jeddy commission (Edward Remus "Teddy" Lupin x James Sirius Potter) drawn by the super fun Kiwadraws! You may recognize the art style from all her My Hero Academia fanart, Kiwa doesn't have a Tumblr, but you can find her on Instagram as well as Twitter!
She was super sweet to work with, considering I as usual made a mess of myself trying to describe my idea for the commission composition. Instagram helpfully refused to send ANY of my messages, but she took it in stride and gratefully didn't get too frustrated with me.
I have a bad habit of commissioning art for ship I love a little too much, and considering @jeddyfest is coming up, I figured it was appropriate to commission at least a million different artists to draw Jeddy fanart and add on to our small but lovely ship.
I love this piece so much, their faces are adorable and James' freckles KILL me as usual. Teddy's hair is the perfect blue, and those scarves honestly kill me, idk why? Just the way Kiwa drew them somehow makes them look so soft? And I want them??? I love the connection of their hands, and the little finger touch between the hands in the background, James' little tan and how you can pretty much tell what their personalities are (fanon or whatever) just from their facial expressions. Kiwa did amazing and I'm so happy with how it turned out.
I absolutely recommend looking her up, her art style has such a defined and unique character all on its own, and you can tell she works hard on her passions. Her main fandom is MHA, but I feel like the Jeddy fandom is honored to gave her art gracing our ship now.
