. Art| Cry: Waiting Artist| #Kiwa007 Devoted to the process, a way in which I can handle this breath, there isn’t much to explain. Coming up in a very fortunate generation, it’s difficult for me to put myself in your shoes. All I really know is that we’re so different. Some things may be common, but our upbringings and personalities paint such unique patterns to be observed over time. Not one who explicitly wants to travel, I recognize how sheltered I’ve been pursuing my need for meaning and stability. Of course I got to share days, weeks, and years with some of you; but, I never really understood things from your lens. I’d like to believe that we helped each other decide what wasn’t for us. I hope that at my lowest points I didn’t take away from your happiness. Each experience taught me a little bit more about myself. The invites, greetings, and times gave me moments to reflect upon the immensity of existence surrounding my little mind. Whether or not I truly listened, hindsight gave me memories to grapple with as I attempted to become a man. Social conditioning and circumstance certainly molded my perception. I can’t recount how those building blocks enabled me to reach impossible heights and total blackness where I could feel the impact of living and screwing up. In the present, I acknowledge my power to react, blame, thank, change, or write the next page. Will I ever come to terms with how lucky I’ve been to be created by some means? Yes. But, it won’t be a steady journey towards perfection. I’ll continue to relapse during seasons of sadness and trauma to varying degrees. Rather than be grateful for the ones who stick with me only, my dream is to see how all of it developed an imperfect masterpiece clearly . . . Discovering how all of our uniqueness never kept us from the overarching reality.
