ok so. i have absolutely no evidence to suggest that vista has any opinion at all about her wardrobe. i started putting her in bandanas because she likes to shake her head and make her collar jingle to get my attention (sometimes when i am sleeping) so we're a collars-off household, and the bandanas seemed like a fun alternative so she wasn't naked all the time. she will sit nicely when i put a bandana on her, but that doesn't mean anything--she's a very polite girl. of the clothing portion of her wardrobe, however, i think she likes this hoodie.
it's lightweight and sleeveless and sometimes i'll pull the hood over her head and she drops right off. like a parrot.
@knightcommanderalenko omg ok i DO have SOL, i dont think i have the explore one but honestly im not surprised, i feel like that mod is kinda Iffy to begin with, even tho i rly like it, too. it is BAFFLING tho like, why would that be a feature? and if its not intentional, how do u UNINTENTIONALLY make everyone sick?? so WEIRD!
@klmt1 sfjkdslfkdsjlfkk honestly thats the same response i have
Southern accent. Absolutely calls all other women “sugar”
Had to mature really quickly; it has the side-effect of her being a bit of a know-it-all, she dishes out unsolicited advice all the time
I love making her start up a little baking business, selling cakes from a card table in front of her trailer
She and Dustin have a lot of injokes, and she’s pretty relaxed about swearing around her kids. “Fuck yeah, kid, stick it to old people”. Probably treats him just a bit too much like a friend rather than son - she wants to give him space to be his own person and to mature at his own pace, not hers, but hasn’t found the perfect balance yet
Comforted Dustin like a pro when Angela broke up with him because she was gay, but in her mind went “duhhhhhhhhhhhh” the entire time
Really loud, obnoxious, snorting laugh
Cried her eyes out when she learned she was pregnant, then washed her face with cold water, rolled up her sleeves, cleaned the house, and woke Dustin up for school with a smile
She’s not a slob by nature, but her wardrobe is very... well-worn. With a toddler and a pregnancy, she gave up on looking good very quickly. Has a lot of early wrinkles, just runs a brush over her hair in the morning, and her definition of a “still good” shirt has widened.
Watches a LOT of crappy tv with one eye while cooking or cleaning. She knows she could use that time to watch/listen to something more enriching, but fuck, she is so tired, and listening to Tolstoy audiobooks and watching Kitchen Nightmares are two very different energy levels.
It was her dream for Dustin to go to collegeand it’s her biggest regret that she didn’t make it possible for him. She’s so proud of him, but she feels it was her failure that he had neither grades nor money to go
Her entire world EXPLODES in color and wonder when she realizes she’s a lesbian
I could go on and on, my dude, I love her, I cherish her, I want to see ehr happy
For @klmt1, @esotheria-sims, @theatticbox, @niamh-sims, @julsfels, @scribblessims, @meryses, @scibirg, @dramallamadingdang
Omg I love the job description.
Same here, I think Morganna’s Default Replacement careers are just the cutest. And considering how MUCH text is required to make even a single custom career...it’s very impressive that they are all fun and unique.
esotheria-sims replied to your photo “Lol, this household keeps me guessing, that’s for sure. ”
So Ambrose has a thing for ladies of a certain age, huh?
I’m not sure if it’s ladies of a certain age or just ladies in general, lol! He still wolf-whistles every time he sees Joan, but this is the first time I’ve seen hearts appear for him! Hey, I’m down. She’s a widow and they could both use love ;)
theatticbox replied to your photoset “Paying respects to the god of warriors and to those lost in battle. ”
I adore your church building. You did an amazing job with it!
niamh-sims replied to your photoset “Finally adding our final place of worship in Dallùbach, the Cathedral...”
Beautiful build! When I first saw it, I thought it looked a bit like my ‘Church of the Watcher’, but not quite! At last your higher classes will have somewhere to mingle!
Thanks guys! Yes, I wasn’t aware until I saw them all starting to appear on Sunday how much I had wanted to see my Gentry and Nobility actually mingling. It was very satisfying.
niamh-sims replied to your photoset “Lol as much as I love Margery commandeering the dinner table, I do...”
Margery looks like a little firecracker!
She really is, I am quite fond of her character :)
niamh-sims replied to your photo “AWKWARD. Hahahaha. It’s OK though, I’d always intended Joan to marry...”
They would make an awesome couple. Their kids would be super cute!
They would BUT I do intend to keep Nobility in the same circle. She’s just not high status enough for him, so we will have to wait until some appropriate Nobles move into town!
julsfels replied to your photo “I’ve realized that I need to start thinking about family portraits now...”
Beautiful portrait! But the story is so sad. :(
It is, isn’t it? When I rolled the dice for this family, it was for 3 females only so I had to come up with some reason why there were no male heads of the family in my patriarchal knightly household...but it wasn’t until I gave those “missing”characters faces and names and personalities that I felt sad about never meeting them.
esotheria-sims replied to your photoset “There are some days that are pretty easy for Ambrose, and some where I...”
This is kind of becoming a refrain with this household, but... poor guy! XD
Yeah pretty much, lol. He had days where he could chat with Gertrude and have a bit more leisure time, but he was mostly on his feet from dawn till dusk looking after the house and its inhabitants. And this was a small manor house. Woe be unto the servant who has to look after a castle >.<.
dramallamadingdang replied to your quote “I’m curious as to how you managed this - is he set as a repairman NPC?...”
That's what I do, too, but I've heard other people saying they use Sim Surgery to make their nannies/repairpeople/maids look like their playables who have those "jobs." I've always thought that was a great idea, but I've never actually done it...
Yeah, I heard about that method too but tbh, the less time I have to spend fussing in SimPE the better for me. Plus, I actually enjoy having the actual Sim come out to these households and meet people he ordinarily might not get to see. I can live with that :)
scribblessims reblogged your post and added:
IIRC, Moi’s water mod has a ‘deep green’ color...
meryses replied to your post “WCIF”
I only know of these two buyable overlays, hopefully they're what you're looking for: http://modthesims.info/d/328098 http://gardenofshadows.org.uk/gardenofshadows/index.php?PHPSESSID=r7h42s8bad0sthbfeognchg7n5&topic=19887.msg512251#msg512251
scibirg replied to your post “WCIF”
There is an overlay mod for that. I think perhaps made by iCad/dramallamadingdang?
Thank you all for your suggestions! In the end I decided to go with a “square pond” (which I’ll probably post pics of in the near future) but definitely keeping all these cool overlays in my back pocket. Swimming in blood would be cool as hell!
Hi there! I was wondering what methods you use to makeover sims? At the moment I'm using the mirror and dresser in-game to change their look, but with so much makeup cc, the tiny UI makes it take forever to make a sim over.
Hey! I’m not aware of any other method (that’s less time-consuming) than mirror and dresser, sorry. I personally try to keep my makeup cc to a minimum for that exact reason + old habit of dreading the fourth tab in CAS, and I usually give most sims the same basic things. The only advice I can give there is to do a spring cleaning if you have the heart, and keep only the cc and colours you know you’ll use. Pretty things are fantastic but if the amount of them makes things unwieldable, they’re just sitting on the shelf being pretty tbh.
Also in case someone’s interested and/or doesn’t know how: for the genetic makeovers my process is I extract the premades through sim surgery, edit their faces in Bodyshop, then open the edited sim.packages in simPE, extract the facial structure and replace the game sim one’s with it.
Door I am very curious which Bridgerton novel was your favorite!
okay first of all thank you for asking me for my opinions about romance novels. i have many. second of all: ok so the thing is i read all the bridgertons many many years ago. the one i remembered best, and which i would have told you last week was my favourite, was Romancing Mister Bridgerton, Penelope & Colin’s story. except that then i reread it and it turned out i had been partially remembering a completely different romance novel in which the hero had had his leg chomped by a shark. colin does not have his leg chomped by a shark, he just spends some time in cyprus. i also might have told you that To Sir Phillip, With Love was my favourite, but that’s mostly because i like Eloise. i no longer trust my own memory with regard to bridgertons. for all i know sir phillip was the one who was chomped by a shark. i can tell you that i recall liking the Lady Whistledown short story collection which takes place in the winter the Thames froze over very much! no sharks in that one i’m like 95% sure
please feel free to ask for more opinions about romance novels i have read thousands
1. Become Cult Leaderm because it tells you everything you need to know about the sim
2. Send 3 children to college, it’s just both doable and challenging, so it doesn’t chage me much
3. Earn 100,000$, because it gives you plenty of flexibility and is so very relatable
4. Max out 7 skills - flexible in that it doens’t lock the sim into a career or lifestyle, but definitely a big challenge they need to work their entire life for
5. Become World-Class Ballerina, because it always pops up on the least appropriate sims.
