I totally understand this. So many times I've seen people convert things and not even mention the original creator. Then they get all the praise. So wrong.

Thank you for reading and replies!   I guess many people thought I’ve retired from CC making.  It was not retirement, but just a long hiatus, though.  Anyway, I could move on.  I still have many lovely followers like you here.  Thank you again!

This sucks so hard. Dean Koontz's solution was to shove his dad into a care facility, pay the bills, and refuse to see him or to discuss his problems with staff. But I suspect you don't have as much money as Koontz. At least if you have to kick him out onto the streets, he won't freeze in Florida. And you can't be expected to accept responsibility for someone who never took responsibility for you.

Dean Koontz was obviously also able to afford a lawyer to get his father declared incompetent. That’s what we’re looking into now.

My father’s got excellent insurance that would pay for extensive rehab or a nursing home, but of course he claims he’s given up drinking! He will say to my face, while he’s so drunk he can’t stand without leaning on a wall, and just after my husband took a garbage bag of empty vodka bottles out of his room, that he quit last year. He’s lying to all of his friends too, of course. He’ll go a few hours without drinking once every other week or so, during which he’ll talk to all of them on the phone and tell them how well he’s doing. And they can’t tell he’s drunk from short little Facebook posts about dogs or 1960s TV shows. He actually got his brother believing him -- which makes me feel a bit less bad for also believing him before he moved here.

Kicking him out on the street entirely isn’t happening. There are things I can do and things I can’t do, and that’s a thing I can’t do. I can’t forget him doing things like making up a song for me to remember all the Canadian provincial capitals in 4th grade, or rescuing a kitten who ended up rescuing me, or switching from Republican to Democrat after a conversation I had with him when I was 12. Florida’s not cold, but his health issues are severe and he would die horribly immediately. (As opposed to dying horribly slowly, which is what he’s doing now.) I’m afraid that he’s going to hurt someone else in one of his two to three daily drives to get vodka, and that’s my main impetus for trying to figure out how to get him declared incompetent now.

Same here, I think Morganna’s Default Replacement careers are just the cutest. And considering how MUCH text is required to make even a single custom career...it’s very impressive that they are all fun and unique.

I’m not sure if it’s ladies of a certain age or just ladies in general, lol! He still wolf-whistles every time he sees Joan, but this is the first time I’ve seen hearts appear for him! Hey, I’m down. She’s a widow and they could both use love ;)

Beautiful build! When I first saw it, I thought it looked a bit like my ‘Church of the Watcher’, but not quite! At last your higher classes will have somewhere to mingle!

Thanks guys! Yes, I wasn’t aware until I saw them all starting to appear on Sunday how much I had wanted to see my Gentry and Nobility actually mingling. It was very satisfying.

They would BUT I do intend to keep Nobility in the same circle. She’s just not high status enough for him, so we will have to wait until some appropriate Nobles move into town!

It is, isn’t it? When I rolled the dice for this family, it was for 3 females only so I had to come up with some reason why there were no male heads of the family in my patriarchal knightly household...but it wasn’t until I gave those “missing”characters faces and names and personalities that I felt sad about never meeting them.

This is kind of becoming a refrain with this household, but... poor guy! XD

Yeah pretty much, lol. He had days where he could chat with Gertrude and have a bit more leisure time, but he was mostly on his feet from dawn till dusk looking after the house and its inhabitants. And this was a small manor house. Woe be unto the servant who has to look after a castle >.<.

That's what I do, too, but I've heard other people saying they use Sim Surgery to make their nannies/repairpeople/maids look like their playables who have those "jobs." I've always thought that was a great idea, but I've never actually done it...

Yeah, I heard about that method too but tbh, the less time I have to spend fussing in SimPE the better for me. Plus, I actually enjoy having the actual Sim come out to these households and meet people he ordinarily might not get to see. I can live with that :)

Thank you all for your suggestions! In the end I decided to go with a “square pond” (which I’ll probably post pics of in the near future) but definitely keeping all these cool overlays in my back pocket. Swimming in blood would be cool as hell!

Is the arch a deco object, or a "real" arch? If it´s a deco object, you can simply allow placement in air in the Init BHAV. I´m on my tablet, so I can´t look at the moment, but if it is an object, just send me a PN and I can explain it to you. It´s just easy.

Sadly it’s a real arch, though I remember there being a column version somewhere. I’ll have to hunt it down.
