1. Please forgive me for burdening your inbox; I've only just followed you and can't yet comment on individual posts and I have a burning need to complain to like-minded people. In a 3/11/14 post, EL says that "Jane Eyre would be too frightened" (of CG's lascivious public pawing, I think?), implying that Jane takes shit from men, lacks backbone, or lets fear rule her actions. This shows that EL did not remotely understand Jane's character, the story, or the dynamic between her and Mr. Rochester.

2. Yet she confidently asserts that her avatar Ana is some kind of literary savant who bonds with books instead of people, 'cause, like, she's SO DEEP and not like other girls! (LOTS OF GIRLS ARE SHY BOOKWORMS, YOU PANTY. JANE EYRE IS A CLASSIC FOR A REASON.) It infuriates me when authors say their characters are experts in some field, yet don't do enough research to come off as knowledgeable even to non-experts like me. That research can be as simple as, say, reading the book she's referencing.

3. To address your question at the end of the post, Ana SHOULD DEFINITELY take romantic advice from Pride and Prejuduce, a book about the absolute necessity for intellectual, emotional and moral compatibility in a relationship, and the danger of relying on sexual chemistry alone when forming long-term commitments. Sadly I think EL's takeaway from both Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre was, "Girl with low mate-status marries man with high mate-status and lives happily ever after." What a chump.

I was at a party last night and we were up incredibly late. I did the Beanboozled challenge- which is childish for eleventh graders, I know, but my little brother insisted- and I found out what a barf-flavoured jellybean tastes like. My friend Violet experienced the taste of dog food jellybean. In a word: ICK. 

When i was in sixth grade i stayed up so late i only got an hour and a half of sleep, and then i still had to go to school the next day, and i had to dig my nails into my palms the entire day (and i still nearly fell asleep).

My writing inspiration comes in flashes, at very inconvenient times. i was at the pool, about to go off a diving board, and i had an idea for an OUAT fic. And then when i sit down to write chapters for the WIPs i should be working on, inspiration flies out the window and says, "i'll come back when the writing is actually interesting", and i have to call it quits and drown in fanfic. 

I have seen Skin Deep (1.12 OUAT) over 40 times since i started watching Once back in March. And I have pathetically memorized all the episode titles, including the new ones, which my friends think is hilarious.

I get really defensive, really fast. But for good reasons. And I rant for a loooong time.

My first shift at work went really well :) so strange speaking to customers again! Now I'm knackered and i don't know why I'm still up! Lovely chilled day in tomorrow with my super pleasant little boy who was very good for my mum today, again! I'm so lucky!! If we had a bit more money id say we'd have the perfect life, but money means nothing when you have family and friends like mine. So blessed <3
