Agent Overlord, @resisty-zim , and @agnt-of-chaos , Dib, spent a long time recovering. Zim finally snapped out of the robotic mode with time and rest and became himself again. @commandor-lard-nar watched over them and Agent Discord, @the-cooler-gaz , and Agent P, @resisty-tak , visited.
Dib and Zim annoyed a smeet drone named Veta with calls to pass the time. They didn't know she was a smeet at first. They did not behave for the medical at all, and eventually broke out entirely to visit @ask-paranormaloddities Sprouts at the base. After Zim had a mental breakdown.
Sprouts and Dib got into a fight over Sprouts messing with the computer and Sprouts left.
Gaz went back to Earth with Tak as well to change Tenn's old ship.
Dib fell asleep and Zim went to talk to Membrane and ended up getting caught by the scientists and vivisected.
Dib worried when Zim was gone for hours and messaged Gaz, then they both got a message from Membrane about a creature. Dib went to the labs and rescued Zim before they could hurt him too badly. He did get a deep incision on chest and abdomen. Dib couldn't get him out alone, and now Membrane knew about aliens. Lard Nar came to help, pissed with Membrane, and helped Dib take the mostly unconscious Zim back to HQ.
After a few hours and some throwing up, Zim was stable enough to go to Dib's lab with him and they spent time together.
@dubl-trubl Dubl met some mutants, including @sunny-resistance . They painted portraits and made art and chilled.
@ukagaka-zim (with some close alts) stopped by again to drop off a PAK support system for Zim, since he kept getting into trouble. Dib had an existential crisis about wanting to marry Zim.
@agents-pinkies , Skoodge, blocked Zim out of nowhere. Although Zim was slightly suspicious, everyone still thought Skoodge was dead.
Zim and Dib stayed basically glued to each other while they continued to recover, though Dib did sneak off to Membrane labs to have a talk with his Dad about Zim. And they called Red to annoy him. And there was no sign of Veta anymore.
The Empire lost three planets due to Red being injured and the lack of working Irkens available, so the Resisty started getting busy taking care of the new systems and cultures, as well as trying to integrate the Irkens the Empire abandoned on those planets.
Zim and Dib wanted to check it out, but Lard Nar told them to rest for another 36 hours first. They did not, they visited @skoot-over , @kneltnotbowed , and Sprouts and Keith in the Void. They had some tea and then went shopping on their home Earth, and watched some ducks and a movie. They agreed that it was a date. Zim even proposed.
They called Red again on HQ to annoy him, and this time it seemed like Veta was definitely dead. Which was sad. Zim finished some simulations regarding long term poison effects on Dib's body. And Tak and Gaz 'kidnapped' Purple for dressing up. And Smeet Tenn activated the rest of her SIR units.
Dib and Zim went to one of the new systems and were spooked by the natives and the Irkens there. Though besides drugging Zim a bit by mistake, no one tried to hurt them. They even found Veta, injured but alive.
