cherish: Favorite thing about writing the muse?

i’m trying to figure out how to not make this sound like a humblebrag but my favourite part of writing daisy is that she is defined by being so smart! it like... really keeps me on my toes, logic wise, language wise, creativity wise, it’s expanded my vocab immensely, it pushes me to read and research, it exercises the shit out of my writing skills and has generally made me a funnier, more educated and apparently wittier (?) person in real life, according normie people i have talked to. this happened, people clapped. i love that daisy is also a writer and i love writing through her lenses so that i can push my own creativity when it comes to expressing her tangled little weird girl feelings. obviously being smart means many things (for example, daisy is Very not emotionally smart) but writing daisy’s wit and quick thinking has vastly expanded my own and that’s pretty fucking neat

i also like that she can afford the clothes i want and can’t pay for

honestly up there are the fact that she is allergic to peanuts and also is deadly afraid of dryer lint. she also really fucking likes mcdonalds, but no one can ever know.

MEMOIR, MISSED

MEMOIR: Favorite part of your muse’s backstory?

I think honestly my favorite part of Soap’s established backstory is that pretty much most of the events in their life are pretty benign. As much of an issue as their supernatual anatomy is none of their real tangible problems hold as much weight as their interpersonal ones. So i really like that at the heart of everything Soap is just someone who is suffering from the isolation that comes from living in impoverished rural communities just with some extra flair.

MISSED: What-ifs/Alternate Timelines

There’s definitely a What If out there where the line between the human host and their parasite was a little bit less blurred and more like a tug of war. As it stands the parasite’s will and the human’s will manifest as just some inner confusion rather than a power struggle; they’re both what we know of as Soap. but i think exploring a dynamic where theres just a normal teen desperately trying to hold back the desire to kill and eat everyone around them has interest. It was just a little bit more serious than what i wanted to do

Uhhh fuck I’ve done a lot of mean things to Reagan. I’m gonna say changing the rules of dullahans so Reagan went from having a loving if strange family to. Having a father who only has half a conscience and can’t look after it properly. I think.

[ai gets a little celebration the same way kalli did when he brought the ice. her cookies disappear in less than two minutes, gulfed down without much appreciation for taste. misha looks very disappointed when he realizes there’s nothing more left, but later he’ll convince the guy in charge of the aux cord to play some k-pop.

1: What’s your OC’s biggest insecurity and how would they react if someone pointed it out to them?Don’t ever point out any feature of him that’s girlish.  He’s already well aware that he’s not very conventionally masculine, and he’s constantly on edge and  monitoring himself and his movements to make sure he doesn’t do anything that suggests femininity, lest somebody get Suspicious. He’ll get very defensive and very, very nasty, (as if that’s not fucking Suspicious), then preemptively dig up some dirt on the person just in case he needs to blackmail them.

If not, then why not?Nick’s future more or less is humanitarian work, emphasis on human.  As Nick grows up and becomes more competent, generally,and more able to defend and protect himself and others, he’s not going to forget how it feels to be constantly scared, and his work in the...organization type thing he’s going to be in is based on protecting humans and tldr be the adult you needed when you were a child.11: How would your OC react to hearing they’re adopted?His first reaction would be “oh thank god” because he hates his father, and then “wait, why?” because his father hates being a father, so why the fuck would he adopt?  It wouldn’t be that much more of a clusterfuck than their relationship already is, frankly.

ok these are the same answer bc yeah the point is she’s extremely monochrome! bc she’s made of clay and all but also because it’s something at once mundane and very striking i think. like she very literally blends in at home and but sort of stands out at school? she’s weird lookin.

Is there any significance behind their height?

she’s like, above average height because i just thought she would look kinda cool and impressive doing her forest parkour shit, but also a little clumsy just standing around. like feeling very detached and awkward in her body when she dissociates is such a difference from how comfortable and like practical it feels normally. also she’s still growing i think bc there is that whole “clay child won’t stop growing, eats everything, then everyone” part of the lore lol. it probably won’t be so literal but i think she’s gonna get tall??
