Happy 4th of July
Why do we say things like, “I believe in Jesus”, or, “they don’t believe in Jesus”?
Jesus isn’t the same thing as Santa Claus, or leprechauns, or unicorns. He is the living God of the universe.
We don’t say, “I believe in my parents”, so why do we say that about our Heavenly Father?
Shouldn’t we be saying, “I know Jesus”, or, “they don’t know Jesus”?
Jesus isn’t something to be believed in, he’s someone to know.
When we stand before his gates, he’ll judge us based upon, not if we believe in him, but knew him.
Do You Know Jesus?
It’s a simple question, but it cuts deep. Not do you know about Jesus. Not have you heard His name, grown up in church, sung the songs, or read a few verses. The real question is this: Do you know Him? In the Gospels, many people knew about Jesus. They watched Him teach, saw the miracles, listened to the crowds buzz with excitement. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” —John 1:1 (CSB)
“IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Isa. 9:6.] He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.” —John 1:1-3 (AMPC)
“You can’t know the real Jesus apart from where He’s revealed, the Bible. If you reject the Bible, you reject Christ.”
—Dustin Benge
Father God, move upon every heart that knows only your name but not the God of the name.
“I Am DETERMINED to Know Jesus!”
“I am determined not to let anything of man separate me from the fullness of Jesus Christ!
I am determined to know:
His voice,
His forgiveness,
His friendship,
His gentleness,
His guidance,
His promises,
His presence,
His protection,
His provision,
His abundance,
His healing touch,
His hope for man,
His faith in me,
His power working in the earth, and
His Victory in My Life!”

"Recognise this; To be *Best Friends* with Jesus Christ, comes with sacrifices, in life that some Christians just aren't willing to make. Walking close to God constantly changes you, The disciples left everything they knew to follow Him. What made these men change heir whole lives, surrender everything and follow someone they just met?! Jesus Christ is no ordinary man, He is the son of God, and these 12 Men that Jesus Chose not only impacted the world around them everywhere they went but their testimony has carried the message of Jesus Christ around the world, through out the ages, since Jesus Christ rose again and went to heaven," _ Just a thought."
