✸ my family immigrated to Japan when i was 3 years old. there, i swiftly learnt how to speak Japanese while my father quickly picked up doing physical labour before becoming an apothecary

✸ my father told me stories he’d hear from his patients — stories about man eating monsters, stories about mythical blue flowers, stories about love and loss and trials and tribulations. i became enthralled with his tales and aspired to follow in his steps. i expressed my desires and he allowed me to accompany him on some trips to patients

✸ one night, when i was 7, i accompanied my father to see a patient. however, while inside the patients home, i got distracted and ended up wandering off into the forest — where i encountered my first demon.

✸ i was lucky that the previous water Hashira, Urokodaki, was there on a mission and managed to save me. immediately i became enamoured with the way breathing styles worked and i began rapidly asking questions. he explained vaguely what Demon Slayers were, and that was when i decided i would become one

✸ i trained by myself until i was 11, mainly focusing on strength and cardio, where i then set out to try and find Urokodaki again and ask for further training. however, instead of finding him, i ran into Gyomei. i recognized the uniform and explained to him i wanted to become a slayer, he then offered to help me train and find someone to teach me how to use a katana. it was during my training with Gyomei where i developed my own breathing style — Celestial Breathing

✸ when i was training with Gyomei, he introduced me to Kanae and Shinobu, who i quickly became close with. Shinobu and i were very close as our personalities are very compatible and we share interests in medicinal practices. i ended up taking the final selection alongside Kanae and Shinobu when i was 14, with all of us passing.

✸ i became a hashira around the same time as Shinobu, and we quickly became closer. partially because we were the only Hashiras who were girls, but also because we hadn’t seen each other in ages, and now we finally had a reason to spend more time together. then, rengoku, obanai, muichiro, and mitsuri became hashiras in the months after us (in that order)

I was trying to shift to kny bc why not, in my script I put that I was going to wake up on the infinity castle, well-

In the middle of the meditation, like, I quickly open and close my eyes, and for a split second, I saw the infinity castle LIKE- GIRL

Anyways, kny dr has been the most dr I have symptoms to the point of hearing the characters' voices

ALSO - at the end, I fell asleep butt I woke up literally at 11:11 a.m., which I read that It is a signal of going to the correct path and good luck

˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ The fact that she has foreign blood in her veins doesn't change the fact that Nakamura Hoshiko was born to a Mexican mother and African father in Japan during the late 1890s and had never left Japan. Despite her outward appearance not being Japanese, Hoshiko held the language as her second mother tongue, was often found reading Japanese poets and scholars in between missions and had better manners than most slayers.

.✦ ݁˖ She was gifted with incredible abilities from a young age, being able to move things with her mind where her older brother learned to hone the skill of a blade with his bare hands. The duo were never seen without the other, especially after the passing of their parents and later on their adoptive grandfather- a retired hashira.

݁ ˖Ი𐑼⋆ Nakamura Hoshiko never payed much mind to the second gender politics of Japanese society when she had to focus on saving families from demons and if they had enough money for food- only when she and her brother rose through the ranks did she pay attention to it

⋆.˚✮ Nakamura Hoshiko is a special case of where a civilian became a demon slayer with no prior training, not because she was a prodigy from birth, simply for the fact of her unique abilities - guaranteeing the safety of her fellow demon slayer. When Kagaya-sama had heard of this, he allowed her into the demon slayer corps without having to take Final Selection.
