No, this is not a comic meme.
Koichi as an artist, it always showed his intentions and feelings through the things he used to post and say, as MEJIBRAY through their lyrics, songs, videos, outfits and artwork.
When Koichi posted this pic, after a while to appreciate it enoughly, I felt that was something familiar on it. There was something on his pose, in his expression, in the set. Something that I already have seen before. A specific classic painting occurred to my mind. I needed to find it. As I did.
As he said... his work might not be to everyone, but that will not put him off.
A beautiful interpretation to a great Living Picture.
Coincidence?
To be or not to be... it’s upon to you to choose.
To me...? Not at all.
« {…happy valentine's day~。 »
I made this the day Koichi posted it but I couldn’t come to share it before because I got busy with other stuff meanwhile. I have a friend that pretty much knows about this, the only one, lol. With the time passing, then, I decided to postpone to share it today... 14th March, which means that’s “White Day” in Japan. The day when boys/men gifts chocolates back to the girls/women who have offered the same to them on Valentine’s.
~~~~~~~
Same day I posted the first edit (and the text above), Koichi ended up posting the gif of Tzk and himself, wishing a Happy White Day.
Don’t get me wrong with what I wrote in the last paragraph about boys/men offering chocos to girls/women on White Day. It is the tradition, of course nowadays everyone is free to offer them regardless the gender. It is the gesture and intention to offer that counts. To share love, in it’s all shapes with small actions.
Koichi could, indeed, give me the ideia to resemble a lot with those cherubs from Sanzio painting but... despite his pose being a mix of both cherubs... would be correct to assume that his individualistic acting is a clear representation of that painting detail? No. His pose, even being a mix of both cherubs pose, is not enough to say “It’s clearly this painting.”.
An actor (or a musician) on a stage can’t act all alone by himself. He can indeed be alone on stage, with none other actors and do a perfect monologue, but he would always be surrounded by other identities. Even on a stage devoid of scenery, the actor eventually naked -to not involve a costume staff- or picking its own clothes... he would need Lightning and Sound engineers. Going on extreme... he could do the monologue in the darkness without any sound effects echoing on the background -an actor’s voice must be audible enough to reach all the room corners, as he must be able to convey ideas with his own movement (a musician would switch electric instruments by classic ones), even if it’s all dark... a blindman still can hear-... but he would still be surrounded by others, since the Theater (or Live House) can’t be open by magic. The actor (or musician) could perform outdoors then… still… he couldn’t be all alone because he would always need to be surrounded for someone. The other side. The essential one. Audience.
As an actor, or as a musician… nothing can be done acting egoistically or individualistically. As an actor, or as a musician… without Tsuzuku, this Living Picture would not be completed.
I made this few days after Koichi have shared his pic with Tzk on his IG, where they are side by side… Koichi smiling with closed eyes while Tzk looks like a bad-boy but once again… life happens and just now I could come share it (I needed specially to structure nicely this text).
Still….. I have another thing to share related to this. Another perspective. Maybe already a bridge to 8P-SB ideals and contents. Stay tunned.
