Another Danish treat - Koefoed
On our recent trip to Copenhagen we were pleased to have our WEWT associates with us as not only did they recommend Fiskbaren (see previous review) but they also booked us a table at Koefoed. What an absolute treat!
Koefoed sources local food and uses lots of ingredients from the island of Bornholm. We all chose to go for the tasting menu so not only did we sample lots of delicious flavours, we also heard lots of fab little stories about what was on our plate from the very knowledgeable staff.
The array of flavours and ingredients were mind blowing and we sampled combinations that we have not found elsewhere. Most notable of these combos was the scallops with green strawberries, grains and cream.
Other courses included chicken wings with green and white asparagus, rhubarb and liquorice, and dill sorbet. Not only were all the plates a delight for the tastebuds, they were more than pleasing on the eye.
If you visit Copenhagen then Koefoed is definitely worth a visit for high quality food and flavours and excellent service. Yet another great meal out in the Danish capital, the WEWT team have been very pleasantly surprised by what a this city holds for food lovers.
