Two years ago today, the Rhythm Natives released their debut album and Rick & Ray Creative Management was born. The self titled album is free on rhythmnatives.bandcamp.com. Listen, share, and keep chasing dreams.

This entry took two years to post. Our relationship with Team Manila - graphic design studio/streetwear brand in the Philippines - started around this time in 2010 when the Rhythm Natives album dropped. But we never met until last night.
Owners of Team Manila, Jowee and Mon, followed Eraserheads on their North American tour with exclusive merchandise. They were in San Francisco last week, in Los Angeles now, and then leave for New York in a few days. Unlike other times they’ve visited, they had a more flexible schedule, so we made sure to finally get together.
Our time with them started with an interview for Tricia and Shelly's blog, Tastemakers. Then, we had a photoshoot with Jon, Glen, and Martin of the Rhythm Natives. To end the night, we got to know each other a little bit more over dinner.
This won't be the first and last time Rick & Ray talks about Team Manila. Their story is incredible, and we are looking forward to being a part of it in the future.

Reigning from Seattle, MC Grynch first discovered Hip-Hop in elementary school when a classmate let him borrow a cassette tape of The Chronic. From that point on, he became completely immersed in Hip-Hop music and culture. It wouldn't be long before Grynch would try his hand at writing rhymes himself at the age of 10. He spent the next few years working on his craft and released his first EP. It generated a buzz big enough for people to take notice of Grynch's potential as an artist. KreativeThought KreativeThought has been representing Rhythm Natives for the past decade, as one of the frontmen in the band. After their self titled debut album release and many shows up and down the California coast, KreativeThought decided to get back into the studio for a solo EP project. Using his past experiences as focus, KreativeThought invites listeners on a personal journey through his lyrics. The EP is slated to release in early 2013. Garfield Adams He can rap on the mic. He can do a live beat set. He can also engineer records. Garfield Adams is a triple threat. Since his debut album "1st Things First" released in 2011, he has been keeping busy at Stemulated Studios with projects for Shafiq Husayn, Ahmad, Inspira, and most recently, KreativeThought. Garfield and KreativeThought come together with a dynamic that is reflective of their love for the game.

Jon (KreativeThought), Garfield Adams, and Asi were back in the studio last night working on a combination of things - Jon's EP and his upcoming shows, and also the Awe_See x Chicharon Adventures project.

Last Saturday, Jon (KreativeThought of Rhythm Natives) performed in San Jose at Cukui for their collab t-shirt release with Grub Shack.
Besides the Rhythm Natives songs he did, Jon introduced what could be his first single (produced by another artist in the Rick & Ray collective, Garfield Adams) to the crowd.

Last Friday night, some of us went to support KreativeThought (Rhythm Natives); he opened with The Dirty Deuces for JBoog at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills. We ended up staying the night and catching the entire show that had all of us on our feet.
KreativeThought surprised everyone with 32 bars that started with "Like This" and ended with "Move". Stay tuned for his project!!
