What was your favorite response to a gift you've given?

I remember when I was talking to my ex she would mention things she really wanted but either couldn’t afford or might’ve been able to afford but just couldn’t justify the purchase. I would comment but say nothing else and secretly fill a notepad file with these special items. Then for her birthday or Christmas, I forget which, I mailed her a package with a few of the items and her jaw dropped and she was so shocked and then happy that I had bothered to remember - since some of these things, like a CD, had been mentioned months prior. I’m someone who doesn’t like to give a gift unless I feel it’s meaningful, so I felt really good that I had put in that effort and given a really worthwhile gift :)

Iron Bull/Dorian, love?

The roar is loud enough to shake the very ground beneath their feet, even if the dragon is roosting far enough away to make their current position relatively secure; the sound vibrates through the soles of Dorian’s boots, and somehow manages to travel high enough to jostle his tender, aching ribs.

Of course Bull notices his wince, just as he no doubt noticed the brutal hit to the side Dorian had taken from a Terror demon that had crept too close-- Dorian can scarcely imagine how observant the man must have been with two eyes at his disposal-- but the stubborn, dare he say, bullheadedness that had sent them charging headlong and ill-prepared into dragonling infested nests before does not materialize.   

“We ought to head back to camp and rest up,” Bull says, utterly ignoring the others’ surprised comments, in favour of levelling Dorian with a crooked, private sort of smile, perhaps only a tiny bit wistful around its ragged edges, “She’s dug in good here; she’ll keep.”
