Why Not Both by Varnes

A long time ago, I wondered if there was ever a fanfic that actually tried to resolve the whole "Hermione and Ron catfight over Viktor Krum during the Yule Ball and in Book 7". I thought, why can't they both fall in love with Krum?

Fast forward to a month ago when someone recced a fanfic in the Renegade Discord server. It was this one: why not both

My prayers have finally been answered!

For this bind, I wanted to make the book look 'modern, but classy'. This entailed looking at fashion magazines and artistic periodicals to see how they did their layouts and typesetting. I collected a bunch of pictures to create a collage that would open the first chapter and give off the 'vibe' of the fic.

I had to discard almost all of them because they. didn't. fit. the vibe.

Same thing too for the typography. An extreeeeemely large drop cap, paired with a big first line? Classy, yet also modern in a way, like some sort of fashion magazine article opener.

And lastly, because the fic does have Viktor 'BIG ARMS' Krum, I just had to make one page look like a tabloid shoot from a trashy magazine.

Kromione Headcanon

Headcanon that Victor was talking so little with Hermione, because he was too self-conscious and embarrassed about his English, so he kept it simple, but at the end of the year he told her everything, including the fact that the book she read the other day (Pride and Prejudice) is his favorite novel and that he practices English by reading the original version and actually planned to talk with her about the book after the Tournament but run out of time.

In the same time he also made Ron question his sexuality and go into gay panic and deliberately proposed kromione to both of them by saying that he will send them the VIP tickets to his next match and will look forward to talk to them again.

fictober19 - day 8 - HP ff

“Can you stay?” Hermione looked up at Viktor, who had just begun to get clothed.

“I don't think that will be a good idea.” He had stopped with his pants halfway up his legs.

“Please?”

Viktor looked from Hermione to Ron and back. “Sex is one thing. But to stay overnight? It is another thing.” He was right, but she knew that. She wasn't stupid.

Hermione wouldn't ask again. She already felt as if she had laid her heart wide open and Viktor hadn't taken it. Yes, he hesitated, not continuing to put his clothes back on. But it wasn't enough. Luckily for her, Ron was aware of her feelings. He was holding her hand and he felt her trembling. He probably knew how unsure she was about this whole situation, about the three of them being together. Not that he was usually the sensitive one of them, but this time he knew what to do.

He squeezed her hand, as if to reassure her, and got up. “Viktor, we both would like it if you stayed. It is alright when this becomes more than sex.”

Ron, clumsy and awkward Ron, said this and Hermione's heart got lighter. It was what she thought, but she hadn't been able to put it into words. And then Ron stepped closer to Viktor and pushed his pants back down. He took his hand and pulled him back to the bed. “Come, you can sleep in the middle.”

For a moment, Viktor just stood there, staring at Hermione, clearly undecided. Hermione stretched her hand out and smiled. “Can you stay? Please?”

Tension she hadn't even realized was there, left Viktor. He smiled back at her and crawled onto the bed. “Yes, I'd love to.”

Hermione saw Ron grinning behind Viktor as he got into the bed himself. They cuddled close, Viktor in the middle, Hermione on one side and Ron on the other. It felt amazing.

the only bad thing about goofing off at work on occasion is the extreme dread that my boss will somehow magically see my computer screen and read the multichapter fanfic I’m writing where Ron ends up getting rawed by Viktor Krum.

something about a failure

summary: ron feels like a bit of a single loser the couple that visits often doesn't feel that way at all. - alternatively, ron works the counter at a dingy store, and hermione and viktor seem to take an interest to him

note: this is kinda bad but i like it so lol

After dealing with Marcus and Oliver first thing in the morning again, Ron felt like he could have a nap.

Not that he was going to, because god, yesterday's incident was just. So. Embarrassing.

So he stayed awake, nursing a lukewarm coffee that made him feel slightly sick. Seamus probably made it. He sucked at making coffee.

'How the fuck can he suck at making coffee-' Ron though to himself, wincing as another slimy sip went down, '-if all he has to do is press a button? How hard can it be?'

The bell on the door handle jangled. Ron, startled, spilled coffee onto his pants, and looked up to curse at whoever walked in.

Except of course, it was Hermione and Viktor, and they looked amused as Ron cussed up a storm, patting his pants with tissues.

"You guys are not seeing me at my best." Ron grumbled apologetically. "Pardon my french."

"No worries." Hermione said cheerfully, examining the selection of protein bars. "You should've heard Viktor when he lost his stick. Language like a sailor."
