It's also sooo crazy you asked this, I hadn't known it was cat day, but for whatever reason last night compelled me to go back to trying to figure out how to draw Leopard!Edge!!! Which, I don't think I have ever given context for here!
A few months back I was like "what if...kitties." and picked out a handful of Big Cats to match to my interps of the main Papyri! And a few sanses but this ain't abt them /silly
Normally I'm a bit of a stickler for the "they're all Papyrus so they'd all be the same type of cat and it wouldn't make sense if they weren't, or at least in the same family", but I wanted them to have more unique designs from each other, and I also focused predominantly on African wild cats, so some might not be the best fits since I didn't get too into researching before I got distracted by other things lol
That being said!! For now at least,
Rus as a Golden Cat, Stretch as a Serval, and Edge as a Leopard! A few others I've rotated but am less certain of: Lace as a Cheetah, Boss as an Amur Tiger, Ghost as a Puma, Copper as a Caracal, and Dos as a Clouded Leopard :*)

Hmm I just realized there are NO swaps in the actively enjoys meat category. Huh. Actually, I have this one sometimes (very rarely lol) hc that, while monsters can eat some human foods, they can't really handle any meat/makes them sick...except for monsters from Fell Type undergrounds.
So in MV settings, it comes as a shock to all parties that Non-Fell monsters straight up cant "digest" meat, but Fell monsters can. It's a very silly hc and tied to similar ideas I have on how the horrors work, but that! Is besides the point! It's clearly coloured how I see their relationships to meat anyways haha
As for what the enjoyers prefer, I feel like generally, for most of them, there might be an overall preference for red meat, though I think Hawk, Lace, Dos, Void, and Spice would all also like at least some seafood almost if not just as much!
I think things like Pork and Poultry would usually lag behind in favorites, though I think for the more indifferent crew, most of the SF types would prefer things like deli meats, jerky, eggs, yk? While the rest would just view meat as just another food option, easily just as happy to go w/o as well.
Plus I feel like some of the Fell boys who partake also enjoy the flex of being really good at cooking meat, which can be a struggle for some lol
How would Papyruses who smoke react if one of their close friends (or even girl/boyfriend) had asthma?
I recently realized how much this can irritate some asthmatics, so I'm asking out of curiosity.

Let me seee...... Of all my guys, the ones who smoke are Luck (mafiaswap), Copper (swapfell metal), Ghost (fellswap glass), and Pomander (loveswap). A few of the others like Stretch (us) and Lace (lovefell) (mostly any of the swaps and a couple of the fells) either used to smoke or still do every once in a while, but it'd be pretty irregular and never really around anyone, so I won't include them lol
For Luck, well, he’s smoked for a long time, and it's one of the few things that works to calm his nerves. Depending on how sensitive they are to smoke, it might be...a bit of a struggle. He might have the reflex to smoke around them often, but he'd mind himself and wholly avoid it, not even sneaking off for a smoke unless he really needed to de-stress, and then he'd probably change his clothes after.
If they were so sensitive to it just the smell of it on his clothes bothered them, well, that's where the main problem would lie, since quitting would be very, very hard for him. They might need to keep things remote under those circumstances, but if they weren't that sensitive, then it wouldn't be an issue ✨
Copper smokes semi-irregularly or usually only when alone, so it wouldn't be too hard to be mindful, and it'd be a pretty big sign of how close they were, if he actually cared enough to mind lol
But he would! The severity of the sensitivity wouldn't matter since he'd be fine to change his clothes or even take a shower after smoking if he was gunna spend time with them. Not preferred, and he may jokingly lament about it to them, but he’s still willing <3
Ghost is somewhat reserved with how and when he smokes. It wouldn't be a problem to avoid doing it, or to changes clothes or what have you afterwards, but he might need to be asked and reminded periodically, since he can have a bit of a spotty memory.
Mostly he smokes a recreational drug, though, so he might also switch over to edibles and offer some to do together, once he knew what asthma was and that they weren't allergic to the drug.
Pomander is somewhere between Copper and Luck in how regularly he smokes. Pretty often, but he’s not as dependent on them as Luck. Getting him to make accommodations might be a little tricky, he’s a bit protective of his time and the ways he spends it, so there might be times he'd turn down spending time with them either because he wanted to smoke and relax or because he already had and didn't want to go to the trouble of changing clothes and whatnot if their sensitivity was that bad.
If it were an emergency or they just really wanted to spend time together, he'd bend pretty easily, but otherwise he'd prefer to have plans and schedule his smoking times around than rather than play it by metaphorical ear 🙂↕️
Generally, for any of them that smoke at all, I think they'd really want to be considerate of the people important to them, since I pretty consistently hc Papyri as really valuing their loved ones, and doing what they can to show that <3 And thank you! You too!!

3 - Sea nettle jellyfish. They are SO so pretty but honestly almost any jellyfish. I love jellyfish <333
4 - LEAFY SEADRAGON !!! These guys are so incredible and they don't even look real irl, love love love these thangs
5 - Betta fish. My friends :*)
6 - really Any seal but ough...da harp seal. Most pathetic looking creature. What I mean when I say looks at you with big wet seal eyes
7 - HORSESHOE CRAB I LOVE YOU!!! Beastly thang that scurries...
8 - Ribbon eel! Yell at own ass fish edition. Look up a video of this thing moving it's hilarious ribbon eel I love you <3
9 - The humble sea angel. These things have always been so deeply ominous to me. What are you. I cannot be convinced they are a mere sea slug. That's an omen.
10 - Sunfish. These sons of bitches look fake and shouldn't even exist but they do anyway and I think that's hilarious so I have to bring them up every chance I get <3
Are these really my top ten? Who knows. But!! I'm so glad I can infect others with my mer propaganda, the sea is full of so much life, it's incredible!!! So many beasts!!! I need to draw more mers now also ty <3

Definitely not a bird person, or really any high maintenance animal that could be considered messy, and birds especially are usually loud, I don't think he'd enjoy that at all :*(
That being said, I usually hc most Fell Papyri having a special soft spot for cats, and while I could imagine a cat suiting his lifestyle better than most other animals, I'd honestly say it's tied with dogs!
He’s not much of a pet person, but growing up around all the dog monsters who worked for his father gave him an appreciation for dogs' very loyal and affectionate natures. Maybe they're not the brightest, but eh, they do their jobs.
While he wouldn't keep a pet of his own volition, if he came into one through unusual circumstances, he'd become somewhat soft for either a well trained dog or a cat. Though purely aesthetically speaking, he does also like snakes a bit.
You got: Anthias! (Off Brand Swap Papyrus) The wheel is loving the off brand boys lol
Sometimes Anthias hides behind a camera. His anxiety is both worse and better hidden than my more usual Swaps, so to ease that slightly, he'll bring a camera everywhere, or have his phone at the ready. He relegates himself to Photographer at any event or get together he gets roped into going to, and it gives him something to focus on/provides and excuse to avoid conversation.
He is genuinely pretty good at it after a little while, and does genuinely enjoy it, too 📸
I'll start with what they do! Cue handles the more professional stuff, and inner workings of the family, while Luck is more like an ambassador, checking in on local business they're "partnered" with, befriending even those they're not, doing his best to make Aster a name with predominantly positive association for most.
Honestly not too dissimilar to how the Mafiafell brothers' work dynamic functions, too, except Cue handles the more official publicity type of stuff, and Luck usually handles the, uh. "Sensitive matters".
As for their relationship, it's still pretty good, if maybe a bit more distant than classic US. They do still look out for each other, that loyalty is absolutely still there, but things are just...a little stilted between them. Almost not as close as brothers, sort of more like very good old friends, but not entirely. A little hard to explain, but they do know each other very well, even with the rift that'd grown after having the torch passed to them.
Luck is a bit of a brat and loves to do things for the sole purpose of annoying Cue, however he learned very early on Cue wouldn't bail him out if he really wanted to teach him a lesson and is careful about taking things "too far".
Cue, while caring deeply for his brother, feels like entertaining his more rebellious nature is just coddling or humoring him, and he doesn't want to encourage that, so he can be a bit hard on him, but whose to say that isn't deserved?
They tend to step on each others toes, and neither really wanted to live this kind of life and sort of had it forced on them unexpectedly, but they cope with that in entirely different ways. Though it's still significantly better for both than it'd be if either had to do it alone, that's for sure

🌼 - When a stranger meets your oc, what’s the first thing they notice about them? What kind of vibes do they give off? Are they friendly and open? Cold and standoffish? Is the first impression people get accurate to who they actually are?
Usually his appearance is the first, most noticeable thing about him. Even when he’s not traveling and looking all no mysterious, even if he’s just in casual clothes, his bones are really odd. They sort of emanate darkness in a way you can't see properly and catch light very strangely, so he looks almost like he was cut out and superimposed in reality.
As far as vibes, he’s also unintentionally very ominous, just due to the way his "code" has been altered. He has a sort of always-doesn't-belong-here energy that I could see triggering that uncanny valley response for some. Like he’s something pretending to be a monster.
But behavior-wise, it can depend. He can be cold or more gentle, but usually he’s just very professional and pretty mild mannered, all things considered. A lot of people are intimidated of him regardless, due to his Strange Vibe and seemingly unshakable composure.
Most people would likely believe he’s very very serious and has zero sense of humor or compassion, but that's not true at all. He lowkey loves to pull silly little pranks and the whole reason he does what he does is to help others. He’s really very sweet, it's just hard for him to show that, doubly so when people are so quick to not trust or like him </3

🍌 - What is your character’s diet like? Do they cook hearty homemade meals or prefer to eat out? Are they a vegetarian or a meat lover? Are there any cultural foods they’re particularly fond of?
He’s definitely more the type to cook for himself. On top of things sometimes getting complicated with how various AUs function, he also doesn't like to hurt others feelings and frankly it's a lot more common for people to suck at cooking than be good at it. Might also be a little carry over from not trusting others to make him food back when he was still trapped underground.
That aside, he’s not very discerning with "types" of food or ingredients, he'd be willing to try almost anything once, though his own personal favorites and what he himself is most likely to prepare are usually somewhat simpler, fresh flavors. Spring vegetable pasta dishes, fish with some sort of herby sauce over rice, maybe something like beef stew with sliced sourdough in the wintertime. He does have a soft spot for spicy things especially though, so he'll add a bit of a kick to most of what he makes.
Cooking and baking is very calming for him, and he enjoys doing it for others a lot too <3

🍯 - What are some reasons someone would like or get along with your oc? Are these positive traits something your oc is aware of?
Well, he’s patient. And determined to do the right thing. He’s kind, even if he comes off cold more often than not. And the more comfortable he gets with someone the more he jokes, or chuckles, or teases. Not so deep down he’s really a soft touch, a good listener, and just a generally pleasant person to spend time around more often than not.
Is he aware of that..? I guess sort of. He knows he’s patient, it's something he’s actively practiced to be, he knows he could be seen as kind and generous, he has the means and when he can be, why not? It's complicated because a lot of his good qualities are things he believes any half decent person should be, so he doesn't equate those things to making him a better person or a particularly good friend. So he wouldn't see those as qualities that would stand out to anyone with even half decent standards aha
Do you have favorite plants? Flowers, trees, shrubs or edible ones like vegetables and fruits?
Not a strange question at all!! I have lots and lots of plants I adore! In no particular order-
• Carnations! What beautiful flowers, they come in so many interesting colours <333
• Eastern White Pines. I love pretty much all pine trees but Eastern White have that Soft and Plumey look at makes me want to run and jump into them <- terrible idea but still! (Also for anyone unfamiliar, look up lesser known pine trees, there's some very interesting ones for sure!!)
• Weeping Willow. Very depressing name for such a lovely tree, between their curling branches and dangling leaves, this is a tree that looks like it wants to give you a hug.
• Mophead Hydrangeas!! What gorgeous tiedye-esque plants! We've always had some in our yard, and in the spring they're always covered in bees haha
• Rhubarb! A tasty treat and a beautiful plants as well! I love the way they grow and their colour, we used to have one, and I miss it terribly!
• Mulberry tree. Another fruit tree we used to have that I miss a lot! A very picturesque tree with such sweet little berries! Birds would come and sit on our deck and eat the ones that fell haha
• Da elegant Spirea... We have a couple of these and they are SO pretty, their little white flowers 😭
• Ginkgo Biloba. These trees have the softest leaves I'll tell you. My mom likes to collect them and dry them and use them for art haha, but they're sooo pretty and are fantastic to chill by for some shade in the hotter months!
• DANDELIONS!!! 💥💥💥 I have always always always loved dandelions this is a dandelion hate free zone unfollow and block me if you disagree /silly
