Raisin kugelnhof as the 42nd bake from the 2016 Great British Bakeoff cookbook. They were not joking to allow time for this, it’s a total of 5 hours raising time, but you have to do something with it almost every hour and it’s best relative fresh. I started it late afternoon, finished in the evening and it was an excellent breakfast. It is light, fluffy, slightly orange flavored. The kids loved it with the leftover plum sauce from the dampfnudeln bake. Make sure to make the hole in the middle, mine was a bit off centered and it was hard to fill the mould properly as I didn’t want to scratch off the butter. At least this bake cake out easily in one piece from the form.
