*trips through the door* It's still June in my province! I posted this chapter just before Pride Month was over!

In reality though, I have had this chapter sitting and waiting for a while now. My original plan was to post some fluffy fanart for this AU before June was over and then update the fic. But I haven't been sleeping lately because I've been so enamoured with this fic and coming up with scene after scene. So drawing just didn't happen. I have a very basic sketch though. I got out of bed because I actually had a composition in mind and needed to get it onto paper before it left my brain entirely.

Anywho, this is a major chapter. With how frequent these updates have been I'm sure I don't need to keep reminding you guys to take care before diving into the fic.

Not Everything is Permanent -Chapter 6

Woo! New chapter up! This is the last chapter I have completed. And no major warnings this time. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's fluffy or anything. But it's not dark like the previous chapter.

Ummm... uh. I CAN EXPLAIN! (I can't.)

I started writing this fanfic in 2018 shortly after Raising the Barn and Back to the Kindergarten aired. I saw so many red flags surrounding the relationship between Lapis and Peridot. I decided to explore these red flags in a human setting using a tattoo artist and florist AU as the backdrop for a dark Amedot fanfic. That part is easy to explain.

The seven year hiatus however, is not. I have no good excuses. But I'm back now and have two chapters written. Only one of them is posted at the moment because I wanna further proofread the second one.

This chapter covers the second half of an awkward and awful Lapidot date. There is also some behind closed doors dubcon. The consent is extremely dubious. Lapis is jealous and possessive too.

I want to be clear, I LIKE LAPIS. I like characters who are awful people. And the Lapis in this fic is awful. A lot of parts of her in canon are pretty awful, especially back when I started writing this fic. I won't be changing Lapis to reflect how she is in SUF.

Over a decade after Jerrica inheriting control of Starlight Music and trying to balance that with running Starlight House and being the lead singer of the rock band Jem and The Holograms and all of the stress that came with juggling the responsibilities of two people her sister decided to step into a previously unheard of role. Kimber stepping into the role leads to growing pains and difficult adjustments to a new dynamic. Not to mention having to balance visiting Starlight Mansion more frequently and dealing with an aggravating man. Time passes and things change in unforeseen ways.

The first part of a sequel series to Unbreakable and Puttin' It All Together, but they are not required reading. You really just need to know that Kimber got hit by a car and Jerrica had a child with Rio.

Oh my god it’s here! The first chapter of my new fanfic! :D I hope y’all read it and enjoy it. It’s the first part of a new series of mine that will eventually lead to Jerrica and Pizzazz getting together. This first fic doesn’t fully lay down the groundwork for that, but it does set up some things that eventually lead to it.

It All Falls Apart -Chapter 3, 13K-ish words

Boo! 👻 Sudden fanfic update!

Nahh, it's not a Halloween fic, or even relevant to the season. I just didn't feel like proofreading more than I already had. So I figured I'd have a little fun and jumpscare people with an out of nowhere update after a four or five month wait.

This chapter features a lot of Pizzazz pining over Jerrica, messy burgers, party planning, Pizzazz having to deal with a small child, Rio being Rio, and Roxy giving Stormer a stress headache.

Nina's procedure didn't go completely to plan. She had developed gills and fins. How does one get their daughter used to the idea of such a change?

I did it. I thought too hard about something you're obviously not supposed to think about it. Nina's dad getting her home and explaining to her that she has aquatic DNA and gills.

It All Falls Apart Chapter 2

Here it is! The second chapter! :D It's around 15K words long. So definitely get nice and comfy before reading it.

The focus is on an awkward filming of a spy movie. The director has it out for Kimber, she suspects that one of the stuntmen was responsible for running her over four years ago, AND her shoulder is basically done for. And on top of it all, Stormer is out of town on tour.

Meanwhile Raya's mom sets her up on a date with a guy who's not as nice as Rosa thinks. But that's okay because Raya has a group of supportive dummies (affectionate) in her life.

Unbreakable Chapter 7

It's finally here! Not quite one year after the last update I have posted the final chapter of my four year long Jem fanfic project! 🥳 I'm so proud of myself for finishing this!

This final chapter is a whopping 17K words long. I debating splitting it in half but because of a gimmick this particular fic has with its chapters I couldn't really do that. So get nice and comfy and don't worry there's lots of good places to take a break from reading it.

Unbreakable is a fanfic where Kimber gets into a car accident and it follows her recovery from it. The focus is on her and her support network helping with recovering from the accident. The main ship is Stimber but there's some Aja/Craig sprinkled in here too. And a teeny-tiny hint of a budding attraction between Jerrica and Pizzazz.

Because I write scenes as I think of them I have a lot that I couldn't fit into this fic for one reason or another. I don't want to throw them all out so I'm going to be posting them on my Tumblr as Unbreakable Extras and those will have their own dedicated tag. They will not be going into the main Jem fandom tag. I felt this was the best way of going about that. I'll probably post one a day. Check in a week and everything will be up.

And that's about it. I have another fanfic project that I've been working on for almost as long. It's a series called "Like A Phoenix" and it's a collection of much shorter fics. The first one "It All Falls Apart" will only be two chapters long, for example. I hope to see you there when that gets released!
