Hii 🖤 You know that art cover with Ciel sitting on a chair (asleep?) with Undertaker's hair all over him that has a strand of his hair interwining his little finger, I heard its supposed to represent a red string of fate? But don't u find it weird since it's known for connecting lovers usually? I rlly hope Yana doesn't make him that kind of creep cause he's my fave character.. hope it's rather a foreshadowing of them being connected in another way. I wanted to ask what u think of it? Is it supposed to symbolise smth else that I didn't catch? I'm fairly new to the fandom and only now im learning theories and the symbols of the manga haha, dont judge me >.<

Typically about the cover you’re mentioning, first of all, for me this depicts real!Ciel and not our!Ciel, since we know real!Ciel also was on board of the Campania as UT’s BD:
Secondly, for me there is literally 0% chance that anything like “lovers” was hinted in this cover because:
while Yana indeed said way later to “check the area around the little finger”, all we can see is a red shadow which doesn’t necessarily mean “red string of fate”
even if that were what was hinted, I’d say UT has no romantic interest towards either twins (since I personally believe he was in love with Claudia and is possibly their grandfather), so it would be indeed a meaningful connection towards the plot and nothing else
UT is the third fave character of the fandom, so I really don’t think Sensei is going to reveal him as a pedophile, otherwise it conveys a rather awful message.
Finally, it should also be mentioned that this cover belongs to ch64, which is the chapter in which our!Ciel catches UT’s chain of lockets...
...with a huge focus on Claudia’s locket and, while UT could have maybe gotten them back, he decides to leave them with Ciel for a while. Coincidence? I think not.
TL;DR don’t worry Anon, UT has been indeed foreshadowed to be intricately connected to the twins, at least because he's known their family for two generations. :)) So you can keep on loving his character: he’s definitely not up to good deeds because he’s very sad, but he’s not this kind of creep.
