I'll never understand why sebaciel shippers get so mad or upset that people like the dad/mombastian headcanon.... Some of them will probably say "that head cannon was made by antis!!" Like who cares, even people outside of anti/proship discourse like the headcanon.

And just because yana made a comment on it in her latest chapter, it doesn't mean shit 😭 the headcanon won't disappear or fade away because of a joke.

And yes, we're aware it'll never be canon unlike some people 🥶

Kuroshitsuji Chapter 217: The Butler, Visiting.

I’ve made some changes this time, I’ll explain them at the bottom of the page. As always, these are free to take and use anywhere you want.

• The official translation of page 1 is “Out of the Bathing Machine and into the Sea”, however I chose “Abandon” and “Embrace” because it seems to be more accurate.

• If the kanji and the furigana it is paired with say different words, the official English translation will always pick just one. On page 1, “Bathing Machine” is “portable changing room” (移動更衣室). • The intro/outro slides on page 2 and page 12 do something similar, Page 2: “Marine Amusement Park” (海上遊園地) read as “Merioshan Pia/Merry Ocean Pier” (メリーオーシャン・ピア) | Page 12: “Smoking Room” (喫煙室) read as (スモーキング・ルーム)

• On page 7 of the official translation, Irina says “There’s nothing quite like a child’s smile”. In the raws, she says “子供達の笑顔がなによりの保養ですわ”. I thought that the use of 保養 is probably meant to hint at some connection to the Nectar Springs hotel, so I tried to maintain that in my version.

• On page 9, Irina’s dialogue uses the kanji for ‘monster’/‘fiend’/‘mysterious person’ (怪人) but it reads “phantom” as it’s pronounced in English (ファントム, like Phantomhive). I imagine she’s saying something like “are you dressed up as a bad guy?”

• Made slight edits to Sebastian’s dialogue on pages 10 and 12 because he did not drop his formal way of speaking, like the use of “‘Tis” and “‘Twas” might suggest. •On page 12, Ciel is only speculating that Miles has a wife and child. This doesn’t effect the translation, but I want to write a little funfact here since using English loanwords is so prevalent in this chapter. When Ciel says “Knight” on page 12, the kanji is 勲爵士 (kunshakushi) but it reads as ナイト (naito). It’s an accurate translation either way, but ‘naito’ also means “night”, given that it’s just a phonetic spelling.
