Apparently a lot of artists have been upset about that 33% rule and as she said in the new Zane Lowe interview, she's been working a lot bts with labels to change their contracts and stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if she helped with this... We're entering a new phase of Taylor's career ahah

We entered it when she straight up said, "Wait that was the rule? Fuck it, get Joseph one."

But she did it and it made a change that's good going forward I guess?

Again, my biggest takeaway is PLEASE can her fans stop acting like they aren't stanning one of the most powerful people in the industry. A person who can award Grammys as she choose, change the rules when she wills it, and make LIVING BEATLES change their album release dates as a birthday present.

This woman is EXTREMELY powerful. Which is, personally, something I really love about her. Grammygate was fucking frustrating but... it's had a tangible change, which many people agree with, and she demonstrated the RA's 33% rule was stupid and impossible to enforce.

But as an American at her level of power and with her amount money and with her whiteness it's fucking stupid to act like she doesn't do just about whatever the fuck she wants at this point.

Taylor was 100% pushing hard for it behind the scenes. The things she does for this man is honestly unimaganeable

Look I mean good for her, she made a change that is actually pretty fair but she made it come about in a shady way and like... that makes me feel a bit better because she did make it better for people next year too. HOWEVER, again, I do not want to hear about the "poor Taylor" shit.

You are on point about Taylor being super ambitious. People underestimate the burning passion she had to become a star. If her parents had not been supportive, she would've still found a way to stardom. It might have taken her longer, but she would've pursued her dream regardless. Having supportive parents helped, but it's not the reason for her success. Her crazy drive and hustle is. She's the most ambitious pop star since Madonna, but she downplays it.

Yeah people act like her most important thing is romantic love and tbh that’s her marketing tricking us. She has always cared about MUCH more than who she’s dating. She is extraordinarily hardworking, she’s great at marketing, she’s willing to stunt if a publicity push is needed, and she was always planning to be a musical legend.

Does she regret certain parts of fame? Yeah of course. But she sure as shit doesn’t regret being able to ask a member of the Beatles to move his album release as a birthday gift.
