Very funny to me that the HP fandom screamed and cried and vomited blood for years over Harry naming his kid "Albus", and now the names Alba, Alban, Albin etc. are getting super popular (in France and other parts of Europe at least, especially Alba; i'm sure it'll happen soon enough for Alban in the anglo sphere, it just sounds like the sort of name gen z loves). My boy was just a trend setter B-)

On the slap: the argument I keep seeing on Twitter is that its largely white people outraged about it because they have an outsized reaction to 'black male violence' because of racist bias, and that the outrage wouldn't have been the same if it was a couple of white actors instead, and that they haven't reacted nearly as strongly to prior incidents like this where it was white folks (the Australian 'Egg Boy' incident for example). I can kind of see the argument, Judd Appatow's response was dumb AF, but it does feel kind of hypocritical that many of the same people will decry toxic masculinity and male violence. Plus, just incredibly unprofessional, this is workplace function lmao

Nah, that's bullshit. I'm seeing PLENTY of black women and WOC in general calling his shit out. And calling his toxic masculity out by name. It's just the SAME black men/women out there defending Kanye being a stalker and an abuser because "he loved his woman" now defending Will being an assaulter because "he loved his woman". This lame excuse needs to stop because it's just showing young men and women that this type of behavior is okay in the name of "love". This shit isn't love. This is violence. Period. It doesn't matter if it's black on black or white on black or white on white. I don't care. Men need to stop justifying their toxic, violent behaviors because of how women make them feel.

Both Kanye and Will are whole middle aged men. You're telling me they can't control their impulses? Because "they gotta protect their families"?! And we're supposed to be okay with that? Because black men gotta be there for their women? And if anyone says anything then it's bad? Like...what?????
