My friend went to see Anastasia in Cape Cod with Kyla Stone in it and the choices that they made for the ending was interesting because Anya wears the ball gown for Everything To Win (Reprise) but then she changes her outfit into a long sleeve shirt and a pair of khaki pants along with heels rather than the ball gown in previous productions. It totally makes sense so she can blend in with the people in Paris so they don’t notice she’s Anastasia. I wish the Broadway version did that because she recognized more as Anya than being a duchess and even to Dmitry, when he says to her, “I’m no prince, Anya.”

omg incheresting 👀 i feel like a lot of non replica productions are making that choice, i love the sentiment of it. i do love the visual contrast of anya in Big Red™ next to dmitry in his pauper fit, but i think it's fun to think about anya making her decision so Intentional and Clear, as a visual cue she's not backing out at all.

the khaki's are a ,,, Choice, though?? is anya a trousers girlie?? (i'm not judging i'm genuinely asking the class what we think lol)
