Smitty was the sun, John decided. In almost every notion of the idea.

His bright smile shone through the darkest days, his personality lighting up any room he walked into. Even just hearing his voice and beautiful laughs over Discord, made John feel like Icarus. Desperate for the sun, almost flying too close.

The sun can be harsh too. It can kill, it can hide, and most of all, it is almost unforgiving in its conviction. Smitty goes with the flow, sure, but John never wanted to be at the receiving end of his bad side. Just thinking about losing that bright smile made John shudder.

If Smitty is like the sun, John pondered, then I must be the moon. Cold. Quiet. Only barely giving off light, which itself is reflected from the glorious sun. He is barely in the same range as the sun, only hoping to project the sun elsewhere, so everyone may experience even a little bit of the beautiful sun. Even if it means never being noticed by the sun, or only being known as the middle man, the messenger. The sun deserves it. The sun, Smitty, deserves the world.

I had been meaning to practice drawing REAL people in different poses and not just video game characters. So, John, in the outfit he wore for an irl Try Not To Laugh challenge a bit ago, seemed right. Really like how his shirt turned out with the mix of photo and shading.

hey guys

ive been thinking about doing a misfits/bbs/goopsquad big bang

idk if people would be interested, but its always smth ive done in other fandoms

if you dont know what a big bang is, essentially, a writer writes a fic maintaining to that fandom (but it can be fluff, angst, smut, an au, anything- as long as its about the fandom.) then is paired with and works with an artist, who creates an (or multiple) art piece(s) that go along with the fic. and by art, i dont mean just like a digital or traditional drawing. any media of art! people in the past have made sculptures, made songs, hell, my old friend made an entire bullet journal for their art piece! you can get as creative as possible with it. you're given about six months total to finish everything, and there would be three check-ins where, on a quick google forum, you would briefly describe what you have done, and how the people you're working with are working. artists are paired after the first check-in, but are still required to fill out a check-in forum confirming they still want to participate. there will also be editors, who will be paired with at least two writers to edit their fics (it takes away some stress from the writer, having to proofread their fic.) you can be both a writer and artist, hell, even a writer/artist/editor!!!

there'd be a discord server for all members to join, and you can join even if you're not in the big bang event, you can help cheer on others!!! there'll be more about the server at a later date if this ends up going somewhere
