as ran gets older, he starts favouring his gun over his baton. it’s faster, easier, takes less effort. but gods help anyone who dares to utter your name. even the vaguest threat towards you makes his eyebrows raise, his grin widening as his hand reaches for his baton, the crack of it extending familiar and nostalgic. those who dare to threaten you don’t get faster, easier, less effort. those who threaten you get the kind of violence that brings him pleasure, the kind so deeply ingrained in his bones that it makes him wonder why he ever stopped using his baton in the first place.

I’m a sucker for physical media, always have been. I grew up still getting to witness VHS tapes and that whole world. Granted it was right at the end of it but I was lucky enough to have that, to have so many memories of shoving tapes into the tv, rewinding, playing the same tape (shout out Scooby doo) on repeat, all of it. And I still have that same old tv in my room, because it holds so many memories, because I wanted to get to keep watching those tapes, and last year I even found loads at a charity shop that I bought home. But, I’ve come to the conclusion that the tv just won’t show the image because despite sometimes working for one or two tapes, it never stays consistent (eg. It worked once and then never again lol). I’ve used a tape to clean the inside but it did absolutely nothing. Part of me really wants to buy a VHS player online but I have no space in my already cramped, full of so much crap, little room to really put a player, especially with the fact I already have the dvd player on top of the tv. And putting it in the living room hooked up to a flatscreen just feels wrong on so many levels. The other option is either getting the tv fixed (which I wouldn’t even know where to start), or getting a new tv that has a player built in that works, but the thought of getting rid of my original one feels like a lot.

Other trains are not safe from CB, and humans *especially* aren’t safe from him. At some point Control might notice that human workers are steadily going missing around the yard and the stations. But no one could ever trace it back to the cute little red caboose, right?

Finally starting watching Naruto Shippuden after all this time (it's been like six-seven years since I finished before the time skip) because I love Sai (despite never having gotten to after the time skip before because of everything I've read about/involving him) and my sib said to do it for him and for Sakura.

i'm loving the last of us so far, i loved the game the first time i played it & this is by far the best adaptation i've seen. the actors are so good & portray the characters perfectly. i just want to rant about how good this show is from someone who loves the game as well.
